The coconut shrimp was excellent. We had the lobster pizza (amazing) and a shrimp pizza along with seafood pasta. The location is great, right on the beach, with dining in or outside options. The food was very good, and the prices are reasonable. Our server Cindy was great and made the experience all that much more enjoyable. Can't wait to go again!

A family-friendly restaurant right on the beach overlooking the Captain Hook galleon, with a basic but good value menu. As our hotel was a way out from Downtown Cancun or the Hotel Zone, I'd been struggling to find vegetarian-friendly restaurants (most concentrating on seafood). Thankfully Mandinga could offer a few dishes including a rather delightful Rice & Blackbeans (Cuban style).... More

Delicious food with delightful service. Beach chairs and sandy beach in front of restaurant if you want to enjoy a day of relaxing. I love the limonada here and always a delicious meal.

Ask the taxi driver, he/she will take you. A wide assortment of seafood dishes. My family loves the coconut shrimp, I went for the steamed fish. Takes a half hour to prepare and is .30 centavos a gram. Ask for the smallest (500) gram fish, 150 pesos. Not bad at 19 to a dollar. The atmosphere is not spectacular but... More

Great place to eat when the sun goes down. Right on the water. Had a shrimp/rice dish that was so good had to come back. Watched the pirate ship next door sail away while we ate. Moderately priced

The place is good where it's located, but the quality of the service is bad, the food it's average, the staff seems a little lost, they got wrong our food, we ordered octopus with onion, but in reality it's more onion with a little octopus, the cocktail was not as good as other places. Not coming back. If you want... More

La Mandinga is a special find outside of Cancún in the Puerto Juarez area. Their service is excellent, prices even better, and delicious plates even better still. Things to try; arroz tumbada; fish any style (grilled with garlic was spectacular); pulpo a la plancha; jugo fresco de naranja; margarita frozen; torito de coco, torito de cacahuate - You have to... The restaurant is located north of the hotel zone by the ferry going to Isla Mujeres. A quiet setting on a Monday afternoon. We were warmly greeted and shown to a table overlooking the beach as shown in the photos. The stuffed fish fillet was remarkable and for less than $10US. After our meal, we hung out at the lounge... I always take guests and family members to Mandinga. We used to celebrate Mother's Day and my birthday here. I still go every chance I get. The food is exquisite, the drinks divine and the view priceless!
