I was a guest of a business partner. They were fantastic host for my entire trip, Mexico City, Guadalajaro and Veracruz. Many fantastic memories but the visit to Gran Cafe La Parroquia was near the top of the list. A simple Tap with a spoon on my empty glass immediately brought a refill of delicious caffe con leche. Although the... More

Although the location is great, this cafe is extremely loud, the service is unattentive, even unfriendly. Coffee and food are ok, but nothing special. Very disappointing....

This is a traditional stop in Veracruz make sure you try the Cafe Lechero is their version of a latte and it is also the reason why so many people come here to enjoy the coffee as well as the show while pouring it

definitely the coffee is great, food is average but Veracruz eggs ill recommend, I agree is overrated, but it is a historic place from Veracruz that you must visit, is not expensive and also service is different, I believe the management must do something different with the waiters organization, first you do not wait to be sited, which for me... The food is tasty, portions are of excelent size. It's real hard to get a table. The milk coffee is the best of this Café. It is a trendy crowded place where I feel that the wait are not really justified.

What a disappointment! I went 3 times, just to be sure it was not my mood or the day of the week. The place is always crowded (which is expected since it is recommended by everyone and their neighbors). Service is extremely slow, the food is mediocre, and the traditional "lechera" is the worst cafe con leche I have tried... More

Avoid peak hours, ask for a "lechero" and once they serve the "cofee concentrate" hit your glass with a spoon... Then a guy will come and fill your glass with very hot milk, also order a "huevos tirados" (scrambled eggs with black beans) and a "bomba" for dessert. Locals have been doing this for more than 100 years...

I visited here once about 10 years ago, but this trip the resturant captivated me! In fact we are here 5 times in 2 days! There coffee (Lechero) is delicious and an event. They serve you a strong espresso then you sing your mug with a spoon and "milk guy" comes and pours you hot milk over your coffee. In... More
