Actually visited twice in 24 hours because the food was that good. We had Pozole on our first visit. It was possibly the best food I had throughout my entire month in Mexico, and that's really saying something. The next time I tried the green enchiladas. Also very nice. This place is very unassuming, but so worth it! Great prices... More

This is a typical Mexican restaurant. Pozole is the house speciality. We tried it and it was good. Pozole is a type of soup with corn seeds and meet. It is said it is a prehispánica type of food. Prices are good for somebody in a budget.

If you want red or green pasole go for a late lunch (before 3:00pm) on Thursday. Otherwise you will have a choice of only "blanco" which is clear broth - but also very good when augmented with seasonings provided.

ONe of the top restaurants in Taxco! It's just a few stpes away from Santa Prisca, in a corner, just walk down the satairs...Variety of typical dishes, well served and very good priced. A must is the POZOLE, or the tacos dorados...for those with a sweet tooth just ask for a slice of Mango pie.....you'll see both tourists and locals... More

We were excited to try the different pozoles but learned those are only on certain days - so we had the house special which is offered every day. It was very tasty. The atmosphere is very low key. It was late (almost 9pm) and the zocalo was very quiet. So we weren't sure how many restaurants would still be open.... More

Go here for the pozole. Comes in 3 sizes. Medium is enough, large if you are hungry. Make sure to order sides. Crema, chese, tostados, guacamole. Pozole comes with chicharones on top. Room is downstairs, small window, no view. But the pozole is good and the prices are fair. RIght on the main square, in the corner.

I always stop there, when I stay in Taxco. They have different types of pozole, and I've never been disappointed! It's fresh, and served with all the things served with it - oregano, chili pepper, radishes, onions, lettuce.... I like all 3, but prefer the red version. I could do without the pork rind served with it, but it tastes... More

My girlfriend was born and raised in Taxco, so I've eaten a lot of Pozole, this is one of our favorite places to go when we're visiting family in Taxco. The green pozole is made in the traditional style, colored by the addition of pumpkin seeds which are ground up into a powder and mixed into the soup (caldo). I... More

You need to try pozole, tacos, tostadas and a good shot of mezcal. One of the best mexican restaurants of Guerrero, Mexico.
