The best restaurant in San Cristobal de las casas. I ate filete de mignon and especial menu here and both of them were really nice.

We keep trying new restaurants for breakfast, but Maya Pakal remains our favorite. It never disapoints. It's quiet, very clean, and cozy, with interestong phots and regional posters on the walls. Even the background music is enjoyable and not overloud, as in other places. It's just half a block from the Zocalo/ Parque Central, and because it's not on any... More

I frequently returned here for dinner in my recent visit. Unpretentious quality food with a wide array of options. Excellent soups, very good pescado al ajillo, several vegetarian options. The set menu options are excellent value. The service is friendly, the quality is high and in a tourist with an awful lot of pretentious fine dining options, Maya Pakal is... More

This was our best find in town for a delicious dinner. Good food, good prices, attentive service, quiet, and free of vendadores on the two occasions we ate there. It's off the main square and frequented by locals as well as tourists. The chicken soup was excellent.

We stumbled upon this place looking for chilaquiles and eggs before our five hour trip to Palenque ruins. They have numerous breakfast packages including fruit coffee tea or hot chocolate, juice, eggs how you like them. Five of us ate for 257 pesos or about $20. This is a great value! The restaurant was clean and the service was prompt... More

Such good food, such good prices and such good attentive service. The stuffed zucchini is delicious, smooth with great cheese. Stuffed potatoes the best we have ever had. (Not vegetarians) Both were served with generous salad. asked for tortillas instead of pan and we did not have to mention it twice! Very relaxed setting close to the attractions and not... More

In my many trips to Chiapas, I always see the vendors roasting chicken by the side of the road, and it looks so good. I asked the owner of the house where to go for this chicken in San Cristobal. She suggested this restaraunt...a lot more pleasant than sitting by the roadside. The food was amazing, everything I had hoped.... More

Whether you want to eat vegetarian, pasta, meat, fish, desinfected salads: here you have a good choice. The owner will also adapt to your wishes. While your meal gets prepared you can and probably will crave for the whole wheat-bread with butter and some sauces. The owner of this restaurant has learned during 17 years in a restaurant run by... Reasonably priced, typical mexican food. My kids had grilled chicken and arranchara. They cut the meat up and ate it with a tortilla like a soft taco. My wife and I both had chicken mole (mole negro) which was very tasty. There was nothing fancy about the place, but the food was good and the price was right.
