The restaurant not in the middle of the tourist center but within walking distance of the zocalo. Family owned and run for over 60 years, it offers quite an extensive menu of outstanding Oaxaca cuisine. It's not a trendy "chef of the month" type restaurant,...More

Homey ambiance, serving just typical Oaxacan food which Oaxacans eat. So it shouldn't come as a surprise that it's indeed filled with Oaxacans on weekends in particular.

We serve over 150 dishes that are prepared with fresh, local, endemic and seasonal ingredients. Our menu is known for its unique 7 Mole Tasting, all of them staples of Oaxacan cuisine, as well as a vast variety of recipes of the traditional kitchens of the Oaxacan Valley. Our Antojitos Coronita dish has been served for over 50 years, along with our daily Oaxacan Breakfast that is offered Monday through Sunday from 9 am to 6 pm, in the traditional and unique way for which we are known.
