My party of three chose the six-course dinner paired with drinks. What an array of exotic dishes prepared with unusual combinations, starting with the Huevo con coliflor y parmesan, served in an eggshell. The drinks were always in sync with the courses. Chef Julio Aguilera...More

Since we were in a city renowned for its food eating at a highly rated restaurant, we decided to splurge on the 12 course tasting menu. The tasting menu can be paired with drinks and we chose the non-alcoholic option. Though we'd only consider 1...More

I’ll say here what I told the staff at El Destilado: I’m so glad I got here before this place appears on the World’s Best 50. Everything about our experience was wonderful, from our waiter Carlos to Julio the chef coming and explaining our courses....More

Did the 6-course tasting menu with my parents, which was more like an 8-course with palate cleansers and such. Sprang for the drink pairings as well. Everything was so effing good. Like, I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop but everything that came...More

I had read great reviews for the restaurant but I always reserve judgement until the first bite. We opted for the 6 course tasting menu but after we had our first bite we immediately switched to the 9 course set. Every dish was presented beautifully...More

9 course tasting: just right amount of food. Really beautiful meal, chef is passionate about melding customs. All protein cooked beautifully, seasoned well, pairing was well chosen. Would come again next time I am in Oaxaca.

We spent three nights in Oaxaca and couldn’t resist coming back for the 12-course delicious meal for a second time on our last night. This was one of our favorite dining experiences anywhere. From the creativity of the dishes (with a personal touch from the...More
