Rather expensive for the value received. We found better all-around restaurants. There are so many choices where we found better value.

The food and service were both excellent and I could murder the mezcal cocktails all day long. It's on the expensive side but for my money, worth it.

We read the reviews and had higher expectations - Small boutique hotel with Ok food, that's it - would not go back unless someone else was paying.

We showed the restaurant staff the pictures posted on trip advisor web site for the restaurant, these were what attracted us to try the restaurant. We were told that they no longer served any of those plates due to a menu change. We ordered from the new menu a salad to share, and octopus carpaccio to start. For our main... More

Fantastic selection of local fare with a fantastic weekend brunch using the "Kemal" to cook outside. Go, go, go to eat at Hotel Azul!

The service was great and the food was fine. It wasn't amazing or particularly creative. It was typical oaxacan fare in an environment that's a bit more chic than average.

We were very surprised to sit down and be served a scrumptious 5 course gourmet meal! I has crackling lechón topped with black mole sauce, my partner had water chili, stuffed with crabmeat and bean soup with crawfish meat, just to mention a couple of plates. Every course was a delight and we enjoyed our visit from start to finish.... More

This became our favourite restaurant for dinner and we kept going back. Food is excellently prepared, interesting, and a good Mexican-International fusion. Breakfast was OK but nothing special.

There is great food in Oaxaca, but not here. Over cooked, over priced, and badly served. The worst and most expensive meal we've had in this wonderful city. Don't even think of eating here.

With the Slow Food concept, our Executive Chef has acomplished a perfect balance between flavors, tradition and support of the local economy. The menu convines traditional Oaxaca recipes, with inovative recipes that uses local ingredients creating surprises for the palate. And to accompany some of the dishes without a doubt we recomend to taste the exclusive mezcal that has been elaborated by artisans for Azul de Oaxaca.
