this is a restaurant you want to go back... all we asked was great. the ingredients are first class and fresh, the preparation is simple but gorgeous and the service is superb... you just have to hope to get a table...

Don’t bother going without a reservation. Contramar offers a great service and delicious Mexican seafood. I recommended the “Tostadas de Atún” and “Pescado a la Talla” to share. Very good service.

Worth the 1/2 hour wait on a Saturday night. Our waiter did everything he could to ensure we had a good meal.

This place is good...it is actually quite good. For some reason though the whole experience left me kind of empty. There was quite a bit of pretense in the air. Lunch ended up being pretty expensive. In the end, I have to say that I...More

Lovely seafood restaurant with wonderful service. Was worried that this would be more style over substance, but was won over by their fantastic food, friendly and super-efficient service, and attractive dining room. One caveat: it's only open for lunch.

Turned up without a reservation on a Sat afternoon with a friend and they found us a place at the bar. Was a little worried about being squeezed in but unnecessarily so. Attentive and helpful service, excellent food and a busy bustling ambiance combined to...More

Although they often close at 6:30 pm, Contramar was our favourite place to eat in Mexico City. Tuna tostadas are a must, and they also have delicious salads and a tasty signature grilled fish dish with a chilli rub and a parsley rub. I’m glad...More

This is a very busy and somewhat noisy place. The seafood is fresh and pretty simply prepared. Felt rushed by servers and overall did not enjoy the meal very much. Food was a C+ B-.

A truly special meal. Just perfect in every way. The cuisine was very classic and didn’t try to be too fancy. They’re not reinventing the wheel. What they are doing is serving some of the freshest fish I’ve ever had. The amazing tuna tostada, paprika...More

Easy to explore either on bike or foot, Condesa offers
a great variety of activities and places to visit
while admiring its neo-colonial architecture. Diverse
restaurants vary from regional to global along its
streets, while local bars even let you craft your own
beer. The urban yet relaxing vibe let visitors cycle
or stroll on the Amsterdam Circuit.

I would recommend that. It was packed with a long wait when I was there but also the best people watching in all of Mexico City.

Aside from a basic salad, the menu is pretty much entirely seafood. I would go elsewhere for vegetarian options.
