Eventough place is very popular with locals and foreigns, Sanborns all over Mexico has a particular taste in which this restaurant has noting different than the rest of them. As I mention, it is very popular and not bad at all, but keep your standards to the average, you can eat better somewhere else.

Service is Ok, the menu is changed with more light meals than before, the coffee is still the same, good flavor but you can see the bottom of your cup even when it's filled

The house itself is a gorgeous home that needs to be admired. The rich history should be admired. They have pictures in display through out the house that are wonderful. The food from Sandborns is yummy. I've liked everything I've had. The menu is extensive and the prices are reasonable.

Ate here twice for dinner and loved it. the menu is extensive with lots of meal and dessert options. This includes a lot of breakfast options which they offer all day. They have an English menu which is helpful. And the interior of the restaurant is beautiful as it is in a column-like area within a tall building. The service... More

What I mean by this is that it is the same cafeteria style food you get at all the other Sanborns in the city. The historic building is beautiful and is a must-see if you are the downtown area at Mexico City, but you can skip the meal.

It has an amazing patio with wall paintings and beautiful tiles. It is very popular with locals and tourists (mostly Mexicans). There are queues for getting a table if you do not get there early and especially on Sundays. For me a "must go" place every time I come to Mexico City

The food was OK but the atmosphere was very nice. I had cheese enchiladas and it was way too cheesy. They had 2x1 drinks on a Friday evening. The building and design inside the restaurant was beautiful. I enjoyed listening to the pianist who perform while my boyfriend and I had dinner. I would recommend this to tourists to come... More

Not a cafeteria, but wonderful for breakfast. Go to Los Azulejos Sanborns downtown. Very old and beautiful. You can take a long look see of all the magazines and books they sell without anyone saying something to you. They also have a drugstore, can buy Mexican gifts and lots of candy. It's fun!
