Great restaurant for mexican traditional dishes, like cabrito, mole, enchiladas, chile relleno, gorditas. Breakfast is amazing........diferent types of eggs, with chilaquiles, hot chocolate, sweet fresh baked bread. Bread is freshly baked, and it makes a difference. All dishes are great. The most amazing breakfast! The hot chocolate is unbeatable, it has the most intense chocolate flavour. Every dish we tried was delicious. Will definitely go there again.

The best chocolate drink! You can't stop drinking on just one cup. We ate at this restaurant for two days. I bought the cocoa tablets to try making it at home.

Attention was a little slow, but Food was ok. Horchata water, 3 milk desert and barbecue tacos were good as well, but "mole poblano" was spicy. Since its a turistic spot you should do Food without chile.

Thank you very much for leaving your comments after your visit on TA. We will them take into consideration; perhaps the "mole poblano" was spicier than it should be that day. Best wishes.

El Cardenal, despite being a chain of restaurants, is a great place to eat. One of the best mexican food restaurants in town, for ages, which has managed to stay away from current fashion of Rock star chefs ramping up in mexico city. You can...More

Probably the best restaurant in Mexico for genuine Mexican food! They are so good that they pack them in for lunch and then close for dinner!

I was at your restaurant a while ago. It was inside a hotel? is it Hilton or Sheraton? It was close to Centro Historico & Alameda. Can you give the exact address? Can I make reservations in advance? Thank you, Yvonne
