I've been to Los Girasoles after a day out for sightseeing (good location) ! The restaurant has a great atmosphere, amazing food, good options of wine and the staff was just perfect! Truly recommend! The fund part is that 007 - Spectre James Bond were shoot in this restaurant in 2015.

Interesting menu. Well cooked food. Good range of Mexican and other wines. Surprisingly wide range of spirits. Excellent service. Reasonable prices. Of course, we had no hesitation in returning a few nights later. It’s easily found, at the back of the Palacio de Bellas Artes and next to the National Art Museum (Munal).

We dined here while touring Mexico in a group of 20 and had a very pleasant meal. A lot of the menu was a bit too weird for our tastes (grasshoppers etc), but the slow cooked pork Pibil in a banana leaf had lovely flavours, so much so I'm making it now we are back home!

This restaurant was recommended by our B&B but we were very disappointed. We ordered a Mexican specialty of fried mini crickets which came as a big pile with tacos and avocado. They were so salty we could not eat them. We complained to two waiters and showed them translation on our iPhone but they merely agreed they were salty and... More

Me and my girlfriend we're excited to try this restaurant out. We had read some great reviews and love good classic mexican dishes. Being in the historical district there was a lot of people out and about so we didn't worry that it was past 8pm and their hours say open until 9pm. I have worked many years in the... More

Last 31 of Dic. I went to take breakfast here since El Cardenal was closed that day. I was surprised with the good service they had. If you like or want to try really mexican food, this is the place. Prices are very decent and also the place is very nice, just beside the museum. Shure I will return to... More

Great Mexican food, from fried grasshoppers to the best hibiscus enchiladas I have tasted. Taste the margaritas and enjoy the variety of fresh Mexican food available. Besides the great food, this is traditionally decorated and it has a great service. Don't miss it

we went here twice for dinner after a a good first experience. On both nights the food was great and waiters very helpful. Some have limited English (and we have poor Spanish). On each night we had a good English speaking waiter knowledgeable about the food and wine. Cesar was very helpful and recommended a good Mexican red wine. We... More

Excellent restaurant near the Palacio de la Bellas Artes, with a large and interesting menu, that includes pre-Colonial dishes. Truly delicious, with unusual moles. Portions are large, so beware! Excellent service. Not cheap, but worth the price.
