The best place to enjoy Bellas Artes palace view. It's located on the 9th floor of Latinoamericana Tower. It has a pretty good variety of snacks and a coffee bar. Have your camera ready to take an awesome picture from up there.

Looking over the Zocalo, the restaurant above the Gran Hotel de Ciudad is amazing! We felt very well taken care of by Alfredo, Erick, Alejandro and Fernando and had a lovely meal on our last night in the CIty.

My wife and I were in Mexico City for a few days and stayed at the beautiful Gran Hotel Historica. Each morning we had breakfast in the hotel cafe. Our server each day was Enrique Miranda Oscar VI. What a delightful person! Not only was service prompt and efficient, Enrique was a pleasure! He offered many historical facts about Mexican... More

I ordered taco pastor with a mango margarita. very typical food and drink to order but it was rich in flavor! My servers were Brito and Adan, they were great and exceeded expectations. It was also nice to see that you can request a special night out for an anniversary or proposal and they set up the table with white... More

I recently stayed in the hotel. Out of convenience, tried the restaurant for some evening tapas before bed. What a surprise. Our lacquered duck sopas were delicious. The view over the plaza and its many levels of history is spectacular. Combined with great service and reasonable prices, I will return.

Smallish, terrace type of Cafe on top a Sears store facing the Bella's Artes complex. Dreadful food and water-like coffee seems to be de rigeur at this property where cups and utensils seem to be optional. Lengthy lineups (almost an hour in our case) speak to their limited space management planning. There maybe other times when visiting this place is... More

We had the pleasure recently of visiting Mexico City and on the advice of a friend, made our way to the rooftop patio restaurant for a late afternoon adult beverage. The view is fantastic over the square, Presidential Palace and Cathedral. We were served by an attentive waiter named Adan who was happy to share interesting facts as we watched... More

When we walked through the sumptuous lobby of this beautiful hotel, we thought it would be an extremely expensive lunch. Our table had a great view of the Zocalo, and our lunch salads were very large, but under $10 (Canadian or US) each. Afterwards we went up to the Terrace Bar, which is covered but open air, and thought that... More

Neighbourhood Profile
This beautiful park was once the playground for the wealthiest families in the colonial era, and is now the perfect place where locals and visitors can spend a sunny weekend afternoon to relax or shop for souvenirs at the market. Kids can run around or grab a bite of cotton candy while teens and adults wander around admiring the charming gardens and the sculptures that adorn it. Once the heat rises, it may be time to visit one of the many cozy restaurants or cafés with its characteristic art nouveau facades to cool down and call it a day.
