This was a surprise delight and should be on everyone's list to visit in Mexico City. Hundreds of cakes, pastries, cookies, etc everywhere! Wedding cakes as tall as you are on the second floor. Grab a platter and tongs and pick a bunch of pastries to go. Checking out with them is a wonderful old-world experience as the wrapper hand... More

From the outside it looks like they just sell big wedding cakes and such - but oh, walk inside and a huge pastry heaven opens up. Not many tourists there, mostly the locals and lots of them in and out to get cakes and pastries. Recommended also for the fun of watching how the locals go about it - piling... More

They have a system for paying for and picking up pastries, which is pretty efficient if you know it. Had I known it beforehand, it would've saved me a lot of discomfort. I speak limited Spanish and the employee and customers around me spoke no English. After paying for my pastries, I followed the other customers to the next line... More

This place is HUGE, almost like the Walmart of bakeries. You walk in, grab a tray, pick out what you want. Then you proceed to the clerk who bags your items and gives you a ticket, which you pay as you leave. My eyes were bigger than my stomach! Make sure to try to sweet desserts near the front of... They've been around for 80 years and it's easy to see why. Huge selection of pastries and cookies. Be sure to go upstairs and see the cake rooms. So many options to tempt your tummy. Yummy Yummy!

This place is a legend within the capital itself, and rightfully so. The quality, precision, variety, colors and flavors. You just have to visit, several times! It's the kind of amazing, that you buy a box-full, the night before you fly back home.

Walking into this patisserie I was blown away. So much choice and all great quality. Also amazingly cheap by European standards. A must visit when in Mexico City. If you aren't hungry you can get boxes to go. Checkout my Instagram @jamesdimitri for photos.

I'm no connoisseur of bakeries but this has to be one of the world's best. An unbelievable selection of pastries, cakes, cookies, gelatins, etc. in a 2-story 19th century building. Grab a tray and tongs to collect your pastries, or order at the various counters for chocolates, gelatins, or cookies and they'll give you a ticket. Take your pastries to... More

This place is just AMAZING!!! this bakery is what pastry and cake dreams are made from. The smell instantly hits you as you walk inside paradise. They sell all kinds of pastries, cookies and cakes. Be sure to get here early to get a wider variety of items. The place is a bit chaotic when paying because you are supposed... More
