The building has a neat interior and the staff will point out a bullet hole from during the Revolution. Food is alright, but tries to be fancier than it tastes. Serving staff hover uncomfortably close to you as you eat. If you are a larger...More

It's funny to think you go to a restaurant because it has a bullet hole in the ceiling... but it turned out to be good. Service was attentive and friendly. Prices were moderate. Portion sizes were large and food was good. Interior was Fun in...More

Historic please, a must. Great service by Pedro Merino! 👏👏 However the food was so, so. We had some escargots and they were "sandy" nor well clean. The nogada chile was good but the nut cover was extremely creamy.

This bar right in the middle to the historic center of Mexico City has historic character. It is a really old bar and it has a period setting taking you back in time. A great way to experience a grand traditional bar in Mexico City.

Definitely a place to visit and have a few drinks. It is a beautiful place, very historic and the wait staff do their very best. The food was not that great. Lots of sightseeing in this area and very safe in the early evening.

I love this place, from its old building, nice food, good prices, excellent service to all decoration, carved wood details and the lamps, it is a trip to the past. Highly recommended for an excellent night out with friends or your special one.

The history is provided by the decor and the Pancho Villa bullet hole in the ceiling; the fine dining is provided by the extensive menu and excellent kitchen. The opportunity to sample some fine tequila not available north of the border is an added bonus.
