The food was really good and when we arrived there was a "Tuna" playing traditional music which was really good, the only downside is that it was really crowded but no other complain

Come hungry and ready to be delighted by the culinary and musical delights. This historic cafe made for a fun last night in Mexico City. The ambience is fantastic. Strolling mariachi musicians in perfect harmony and enjoying themselves as they perform the classics. The quality of their musicianship was superb. Then, the service. This restaurant was BUSY when we were... More

We stop by to eat dinner and have some coffee. All of my relatives and even my mother told me this is a must-do while we were in CDMX. The cafe is simply stunning, the food delicious and the coffee was excellent. This place is going to be crowded so give yourself time and enjoy. We would recommend this for... More

After several outstanding meals in Mexico, we were advised to visit CafeTacuba..mistake. The physical setting is magnificent the strolling musicians a delight. But after that total disaster. The cod I ordered was sour, the soup inedible, the tuna salad tasteless, even the ice cream no flavor. Chicken a difficult dish to mis prepare f was terrible, fatty and yet tough... More

The food was delicious and so tasty, everything was fresh and homemade style, the portions are big so make sure to have an empty stomach when going, the chilaquiles and enchiladas are the best, once in a while you get the cancer to hear live music too.

It was a true experience to have lunch here with a very loud band playing classic Mexican music. I can understand that is very "typical", but it was distracting for me. The food was very good, twice the price in another restaurant, but good quality of big portions. Recommended for an only visit.

I love this restaurant for it's beautiful decor and the live troubadours. But the food was really disappointing. I had chili rellenos. It consisted of 2 huge chilis over stuffed with too much cheese and topped with a plane tomato sauce. Even the beans were dull. The Margareta was made from a mix. Too bad.

Party of 5. Any given weekend hanging around. We picked some Mexican dishes like Panuchos, chicken tinga, and pork Oaxaca cecina. Needless to say we asked for a michelada beer. Because some dishes where delayed they offered us complementary food to stand the waiting. As any standard good food Mexican restaurant it is not about fast food, it's slow food.... More
