There is usually a line of people waiting to eat here. The food is great and that is why. The best mole sauce I've ever tasted, chocolatey and sweet. My partner ordered Enchilada's La Gorda and one of the sauces was the mole. There were four enchiladas, two of them with mole and the other two with a mild lighter... More

If you're looking for traditional and inexpensive breakfast this is a good choice. A little Spanish speaking helps. Tasty food and good service. We were a group of seven gringas and all were happy. They even blasted me a birthday song and flan at 10 in the morning.

I saw lots of people eating here and saw some good reviews so I had to try this place. I ordered the beef combo platter that included tequito, sope and enchilada. The meat was tasteless and it didn't even look like beef. I asked the waiteress if she got my order right and if this was indeed a beef combo... More

My husband and I were staying in near by Hotel Morales for four nights and we really enjoyed coming here for breakfast. The dishes are a generous size and service was very good. I would recommend the chilequiles and the fresh squeezed orange juice. Because the exchange rate (USD) was so good when we went (dec 2015) the plates seemed... More

I like this place very much. Each time a travel to Guadalajara, I try to go at least once to the restaurant located in Niños Heroes Ave. I highly recommend the pozole.

I was there on friday at 2pm. There were several people. The waiters were nice and helpful. I ate there delicious but not the best mexican food. The price in my opinion is a little bit too high.

Staying in the centre has many advantages but a variety of restaurants isn't one of them. My hotel recommended La Chata, or if it was very busy try La Gorda. Thought La Chata was pretty good, so decided to give La Gorda a go on the basis that they were possibly similar. Big mistake. I was served partially reheated chicken... More
