La Paloma has been open for over 20 years and is still a preferred place among locals. They have great entrees ("botanas"), great coffee and a decent variety of cocktails. Prices are very affordable and it is great to sean on "equipales" and watch people go by. Very casual hip place. Very affordable.

It is a great place to go in the evenings with friends for a good time. This place has been open since early 80's. That tells you how it is. You have to try la Paloma drink. You can have a bite to eat as well. It is a great place to visit with friends before going dancing all night... More

I've eaten at La Paloma several times over the years. the service is not always fast (so, I wouldn't come if I were in a hurry). but the menu is varied and the food is good. if you're an American other non-Mexican come to Guadalajara, and you'd like to see how Mexicans of about your social class hang out, this... Have eaten breakfast and lunch here this weekend. Very fresh, flavorful food with good service. The enchiladas were good and also the rancheros eggs to die for.

This is a great place to sit and enjoy good food at excellent prices - and a very pleasant staff. I have never had a bad meal here, the Nopales are great.

Had lunch here on Friday afternoon, around the time that most Mexicans eat lunch (3PM). The place wasn't crowded at all. I ordered a flank steak (arrachera) and a beer. Total price was about 120 pesos or 9 dollars US. The steak was served with a serving of mash potatoes and a tiny portion of salad. The food was OK,... More

Late night meal after spending the day in Tequila. Guacamole, tacos, quesadillas, and enchiladas were a perfect way to end the day. Excellent experience at a reasonable price.

The big wrap around porch is always crowded with people in a good mood. Sometimes there is a live music group and the food is always plentiful and well prepared. Dress casually and bring your best friends for a fun evening. Been here many times and never disappointed.

This is such a nice place. Have been going there several times now. You can either sit on the porch or inside, while you eat the delicious food - i totally recommend the baguette mediterania - with cream cheese, pesto, chicken, pimiento etc. SO GOOD. been going back to get that one. and of course the cocktails are a hit...
