The fried rice, smoked fish, soy, and sprouts dish was delicious - lots of activity on the street fronting the restaurant, especially for a Sunday night .

The food was fresh and local. The service was prompt and the waiter spoke very good English. I would recommend going there for dinner.

Ate dinner last night with some friends at "La Sirena Gorda" (the Fat Mermaid). The ladies enjoyed the sea bass which was the catch of the day, and was offered prepared several ways. Us guys had the whole red snapper. Everything was super fresh and very tasty! Dinner came with rice or potato and salad. Good value, comfortable atmosphere.

This place got our attention First because they had Mermaids all over the walls and displays .Art everywhere on the walls was really cute. The guacamole was VERY tasty and the cheese burger and French fries even Good. The staff was really helpful and the prices very reasonable. Nice air fans everywhere to keep things cool and comfortable.

We stopped here on the recommendation of our friends. We were not disappointed. I had my first fish taco ever. How appropriate to have it while in Mexico. It was excellent. Service was amazing. And they let us leave with plastic cups full of margaritas. Going back next year.

Funky little restaurant. The fish tacos and Mediterranean octopus tacos were delicious and a great price. The margaritas weren't very good- order a beer instead.

The fat mermaid art everywhere was cute. It was even in the bathroom sinks. The guacamole was good. My friend had a cheeseburger and fries and said it was very good. I had to ask twice for a glass of ice for my Coke. There was a small shop selling mermaid art and craft items but it was closed and... More

I don't think I have ever been in a Mexican restaurant on either side of the border that did not offer chips and salsa or something while waiting for the main meal. My friend and I both ordered full meals, so I don't get it. The fish could have been more moist, but I do love the whimsical theme, and... More

The shrimp tacos were good but only 2 for the price. Other places there are 3 tacos for that price. We wanted to try it as it was recommended but probably won't go back again.
