I did not make it to the restaurant, but instead went to the street vendor stand on a couple of occasions. I tried the seafood soup with smoked marlin and the smoked marlin tacos. The soup is very flavourful, but almost boiling hot, which was not very pleasant on a warm night. The tacos are outstanding! I crave these tacos... More

Our friend referred us to this hidden, literally Mexican family jewel of a restaurant. We ordered a light lunch. They brought us two wonderful homemade salsa's, a red (very hot) and a green (just right) and just plain delicious made out of cucumbers. The restaurant was open air but we were able to talk directly to the cook which was... More

We had visited this place on other vacations in past few years several times. We will no longer go as the timeshare/waiters left a bad taste in our mouth. The place is very small and to have to overhear timeshare sharks bothering diners is not pleasant. The food is fine and good value if you can handle it. There was... More

Food was great. The tortilla soup was especially good as well as the chicken enchiladas. Go and enjoy!

We happened upon this place and enjoyed great chicken enchiladas and tortilla soup. The owner was cheerful and we enjoyed chatting with her. Wish we had time to return.

We ate at La Tia II several times last year. Once for dinner and many times for breakfast. This year, we did the same. The menu changed a little bit, the Super Burger was no longer available. Also, prices increased just above 30% on most items. Still reasonable in light of the service, atmosphere and quantity of food. Never left... More

If you want a place off the beaten path...with no Mariachis or drunk tourists in your face. This is the place. The food is great and the prices even better. It is run by friendly people, no fuss, not fancy, but a pleasant, simple place to have a meal. They have a few outdoor tables and colorful down home decor.... More

I happened upon La Tia by accident but it had such charming curb appeal, that I decided to go in and have dinner. The ambience is very traditional and comfortable and the server could not have been more pleasant. I was hungry and ordered more food than I realized. I chose what I thought was a seafood sampler platter but... More

During my annual vacation to Puerto Vallarta I always make time to eat at La Tia restaurant. The food is authentic --- the variety of food goes from fish dishes to ribs. I have enjoyed breakfasts to late night meals there. There is one waitress there who has been with the restaurant for 16 years and never fails to recognize... More
