We happened by this place one evening and vowed to come back the following day for fresh baked pastries! We did and we did again and again. LOL! Good stuff!

Your US/EU palate may not appreciate these delicacies because they are not overly sweet like the baked goods to which you are accustomed. My wife's favorite is the meringue. You may have to try a few to find the gem that is to your liking.

This bakery was handy for a first morning coffee and breakfast roll when we stayed a few nights at Hotel Posada de Roger, across the street. We took our purchases back and sat on our balcony on Basilio Badillo as we watched the morning unfold...More

A great hole in the wall with plenty of options for anything from savory snacks to sweet treats. I love the empanadas here, though the pan dulce is essential Mexico as well.

This is a great place to pickup empanadas & pasteries for breakfast or a snack. They are not overly sweet but fresh & the fillings are great. I loved the pineapple & strawberry empanadas.

I typically go every day while I am in town. These are not U.S. style cloyingly sweet pastries. The flavors and textures are wonderful.

Walked by with friends and the mini pies called out to us, but like in years past, they were dry and tasteless. Friend got a Danish that he thought wasn't that bad so maybe it's just the little pies that are the problem.

Cute little bakery on Basilio Badillo. I mostly purchase my empanadas and donuts from beach vendors, but stop in here whenever I'm catching the bus somewhere early in the morning. They have fresh pastries both sweet and savory, as well as breads and personal pizzas....More

Fun bakery in zona romantic for "old school" baked goods. Inexpensive treats like apple pies and ham/cheese buns. Fun to get one of their "Feliz Dia" cakes.

They definitely carry croissants; I believe I've seen pain au chocolat (or a version of it) there, but it may not be an everyday item.
