Alaska's Diner has closed. Roger is moving on. Soon to be found as part of the team at Café Mordidas.

This is definitely a neighborhood bar for expats. Roger has dinner specials that are so good, you have to make reservations ahead of time just to get into the place! We love the full prime rib dinner special he does on Saturday nights once a month. We have drinks, dinner and desert for less than $40 USD.

Where to begin on this restaurant. It is a bit out of the way and I would consider it a local type place. It is very small with, hate to say it but very little ambiance or atmosphere. You walk in the door and think oops, I have made a mistake, should I back out, BUT shortly you are greeted... More

This is not a fancy place but they serve down-home food in a very friendly environment. I had the rib eye steak. It was wasn't the best I've ever had but it was very good. On the other hand, the baked potato was probably the best I've ever had in Mexico. The drinks were inexpensive and pretty strong. My friend and... More

Enjoyed an excellent meal here with a party of 4, very chatty and friendly owner. Food is a mixture between Asian inspired dishes and classic American fare. All of us ordered the rib eye, well prepared if not a little on the salty side (which I enjoy). Cooked well and attentive and prompt service.

We often try out of the way, off the beaten track places just for the experience. This place seemed to be a place where locals hang out. There were many conversations going on between the staff and among the patrons. We felt welcome. The food is Mexican, there is a story about the name...but not to be told here. This... More

Thank you for your review. I would like to correct a few items however. The food is not Mexican as you said and there approximately 30 dinner specials randomly offered each week not the same special every Monday, etc. As we always say It Really Is All About The Love. More

Alaska's Diner is a homey place for me. We always go here, meet new friends and catch up with old friends. The food is simple but suburb, the cost is an excellent deal and the atmosphere is welcoming.

Having heard in the past that this is a great place for a steak we decided to give the Alaska Diner a try. Even though it is small restaurant we had a great evening. The owner, Roger, is a real character and we enjoyed talking with him throughout the evening. He is also the cook. My wife had the rib... More

I had heard many times how good the food is here so I finally went. I had been looking for a good steak all week and had been disappointed at a couple of places. Well I can tell you that the Steak I had at Alaska's Diner was awesome. Prepared perfectly. And the service was quick and friendly. And talking... More

We recently attended the monthly prime rib dinner. The Prime rib was a generous portion but for the most part served very rare. Thank goodness the end pieces are offered to those of us who do not like rare rare meat. One portion had to be returned as it was floating in blood. Each portion is served with mashed potato,...
