We were given a recommendation to Archie's Wok and it is no wonder! We loved this quiet, dignified place that served such fresh and well seasoned selections. We ordered the cashew chicken and a tasty five-spice beef dish with a side of rice. This was plenty of food for two people and priced reasonably at 189 and 225 pesos. Do... More

Have been going to PV for many years and heard great reviews but just decided to try them out. Wish I had sooner. First service was 5 stars. Quality of food was terrific. Best calamari ever incredibly light with excellent dipping sauce. 3 egg rolls lights out! Pork riblets were fantastic and hot and sour soup the best ever.Best way... More

Have always wanted to dine at Archie's Wok, but I could never get anyone to eat Chinese while in Mexico, but finally got my hubby to go and a friend. We loved the food and service. We will be back!!!

I have heard about Archie's Wok but had not had the pleasure. It's right off Olas Altas on your way to the pier. It's in a beautiful old building fabulously restored and overflowing with atmosphere. I love the food in Vallarta but I have a distinct desire for spicy Thai/ Filipino food, especially in this climate, and I must say... More

What a story! This restaurant had been open since 1986 serving up asian food in Mexico! We were there a week ago, and will return tonight. Recommend highly. They don't take reservations.

Had a wonderful meal here. They don't take reservations so you can expect a short wait. Cocktails were great also.

Excellent! I loved this place. The fish in the banana leaves was my absolute favourite. I would get it again in a heart beat. They have a/c and an outdoor area. It's a bit fancy, so you may want to wear a nice shirt. The service was very good. They have a range of different Asian foods which was great.

I read positive reviews and had a hard time finding this place (which was just around the corner from where we were staying). We first found it on a Sunday- the day that it was closed, but try the little Wok shop across the plaza- it is very good and cheap- so we went there instead. On Monday the little... More

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Puerto Vallarta. The Asian fusion food is consistently delicious. I much appreciate that there are many vegetarian dishes to choose from including ginger stir fried vegetables, an interesting tofu dish, and vegetable curry. My husband enjoys the beef dishes as well. House mixed drinks are fun and can be prepared with or... More

Archie's Wok is widely recognized as Puerto Vallarta's best Asian fusion restaurant, featuring authentic, freshly prepared cuisine that spans the Pacific Rim from Thailand to the Philippines, to China and Vietnam. The staff offers traditional and contemporary dishes from these distinctive regions. They daily prepare a palette of complex sauces and condiments. Savor the aromas of spicy chili sambals, curry pastes, their famous hoisin sauce for the ribs and chiang mai sauce, too. The menu is truly a cuisine of medleys, which combines Pacific Island foods, Asian cooking techniques, Mexico's fresh ingredients and a host of other cultural and culinary influences. Seafood is caught daily in Banderas Bay and delivered fresh to the restaurant. Locally grown ingredients include an array of vegetables, herbs and spices, including kaffir lime, galangal, lemon grass, ginger, chilies, tamarind, and coconut milk. These are native to both Asia and the Mexican Coast. Archie's Wok has been family owned and operated since 1986. The history starts in 1977 when Archie Alpenia began working as the famous Hollywood Director John Huston's private chef at his personal retreat in Banderas Bay. From then on the restaurant continues to be run by his wife Cindy, daughter Kyoki and son Sergio. His legacy continues in this comfortable restaurant. Archie's Wok is just steps away from the Los Muertos Beach Pier and is a great location to meet friends and family. The restaurant is casually elegant and their team is committed to great service, excellent food and a comfortable setting. You can enjoy lunch and dinner in this sublime atmosphere with dining room and Asian style garden.
