Carlos is warm, and friendly- made us feel so welcome! Ceviche was delicious, and acidic. The real star of the meal was the mojito. It is EXCELLENT, and Carlos even came out to show us his trick to making it. We came back a few nights later just to have more drinks! Can't wait to visit Carlos again. We will... More

Great food cooked to order either Cuban style or Mexican style. Modest prices for nice portions of delicious food. Nice friendly ambiance with slightly eccentric but pleasant decor and terrific attentive service (and wonderful conversation) by Carlos the owner, who speaks perfect English. Family owned and operated. Definitely worth seeking out. Lunches and dinners. Limited but very adequate selection of... More

The food and atmosphere were amazing. Carlos served the food, although the restaurant was busy he still took the time to show me how he made the mojito (100 pesos for a 3oz mojito). Entire bill (3 mains, 3 appetizers, 1 beer, 1 mojito, 1 mineral water and one coke) = 710 pesos The ceviche was mixed shrimp and fish.... More

Carlos reported that business has been very slow, bit food and service is still great. He is a wealth of information on local, national and Cuban politics.

Everyone else has pretty well covered most of the food and drinks at Carlos and Lucia's, but I see no mention of the delicious soups they prepare and serve. I've tried 'em all, but the garlic soup is addicting! I just couldn't get enough of it! In fact, I went there twice in one day and ordered the garlic soup... More

We heard it from the spa manager and read it in the reviews..."Carlos and Lucia's is one of the best restaurants in Mazatlan", so we decided to try it. We stopped in for a late lunch and we were greated by a sincerely happy man, who we promptly found out was Carlos. Not only did we get an amazing meal... More

Fun place, owner is Mexican and wife is cuban. Good place for lunch and watch Carlos make the best mojito you will ever drink. Pretty authenic cuban cuisine.

My wife and I went to Carlos and Lucia's for dinner while staying across the street at The Palms Resort. We were served by the owner, Carlos, who made out mojitos table side. He was very welcoming and the food was excellent. We will be back any time we are in Mazatlan!

We stayed at the Palms Resort. This restaurant is located right across the street. We were referred to the big steak house a couple buildings down by the door man, but as we walked by the smell hit us. We made it to the steak house but decided not to go in. The food was definitely designed for gringos. We... More

Across from the El Cid, sort of. Friendly hosts and a very inviting atmosphere. Very good reasonably priced menu, fish, chicken and steak made to your liking! Lots of food for a good price.
