We had a great meal that might just top anywhere I've eaten - ever! We got there a bit earlier than they opened, so we got a nice bottle of red wine and said we'd be happy to wait. The chef/owner then brought us out an appetizer because he was concerned we were hungry (charming) that was to die for:... More

We were very impressed by chef Thierry and his fantastic dishes. He introduced himself before we ordered and gave us a taste of his smoked tuna that was smoked to perfection! The salads had amazing flavor and the dressing was light and complemented all the veggies. Shrimp in saffron sauce and beef leg were cooked perfectly, the beef fell right... More

We were out strolling and came across this gem. It was a bit late so it wasn't too busy. Our appetizers were very good. Great taste and the portions on the salads were generous. Everyone got quiet as the mains arrived the pasta was served in a classic Tagine dish later we chatted with the chef and he told us... More

Went here after reading others reviews and was very happy. The onion soup and the Vietnamese rolls were amazing. Fish of the day and cream sauce very good. From the time we walked in the service was impeccable and individual. Highly recommend.

We stopped by for dinner and ended up returning on two other occasions...it was terrific! The food is lovingly prepared with fresh, local ingredients in a French-fusion style bringing together the best that each has to offer. The service is outstanding. The restaurant is down a small backstreet...but well worth the hunt. This is fine dining at it's best!

Possibly the best restaurant in Huatulco! French cuisine with a Mexican twist. First restaurant in Huatulco where the chef visited the table to inquire about our meals. Had the catch of the day (grouper)with a cream and leek sauce, followed by a raspberry Creme Brule. Would definitely go back!

This top tier little restaurant is quiet and and tucked away within short walking distance of Crucecita and Bahia Chahue. The prices are very reasonable. I recently enjoyed the hospitality of Thierry and his attentive staff for more than one delicious meal. Tasty Cream of Celery and Tossed Green salad with Goat cheese for a light meal when I arrived,... More

I visit Huatulco several times each year: to surf, do botanical research, and visit my coffee ranch above Sta. Maria Xadani. One of the highlights of each visit is dining several times at L' Echalote and visiting with the wonderful owners and staff at the restaurant. I have personal favorite meals but also enjoy trying something new. And, having eaten... More
