We visited this place after 10 years of not coming, they still keep their special Mexican style restaurant, the food continues to be first class and the prices are fair for a city like Monterrey, the meat is cooked to perfection and the variety of wines is widely assorted at this place. Casual dress to formal recommended if you want... More

Traditional restaurant in Monterrey with excellent steaks and the best "queso falmeado" (grilled cheese with chorizo) I've ever eaten! Waiters are nice and their steaks are always delicious as well as their entrées. Desserts are very good with only a few cakes and ice creams, but the tiramisu is gorgeous! Open daily from noon till midnight. No valet parking and... More

Third time at this restaurant and it seems to be slipping. The restaurant was devoid of its usual lunch crowd; it would have been great for a quiet business lunch. This place needs a bit of a touch up. We ordered the tongue and the Ribeye. Both good. The service was very good.

I was here several times a while back for dinner. Excellent food and the service was the very best. Ate in the patio area all but one visit. Really enjoyed that experience. Servers in the U.S. could (should) take lessons from the folks in Monterrey, Mexico. Could not have been better. I would visit here just for the service.

Since Adrián Herrera joined them this place improved. We liked it but now is a must in Monterrey. The open part of the restaurant is very good opción for autumn / spring days. Decor is nice and warm, the menú offer many options. Closed for dinner, call before to check

This was a business lunch, so I would not have probably found the place myself. Not huge but everything was so well run, from the service through to the layout of the tables. One of those places that the service is not intrusive but always spot on. The food was amazing, not masses but quality. The views from both sides... More

I ate here with colleagues on a business trip. The food was excellent and authentic. We sat outside in the lovely courtyard. It was just a great experience. After dinner we had some tequila which is served with a shot glass of a tomato / salsa type drink. Very nice. Service was fantastic.

El Tio has been a classic for decades, and new ownership by Pangea brings a breath of fresh air. Food is pretty good in a relaxed atmosphere, but they have to work on their service. Today's lunch took 3 hours and forgotten dishes. This is extremely unusual for Pangea standards.
