A few days ago mine wife and a friend headed down Bay Street and I noticed a sign going up at a waterfront building I had long wondered about. Some men were finishing a hand-painted sign and I noticed chairs and table right by the...water. What's going up here, I asked. A new restaurant, was the reply. We sauntered up and there were half-dozen folks milling about the tables, most eating to pick up some food from the Princess Restaurant. Our friend Dorte, who has visited more than 100 countries and dined at Nobu and other of the world's top places. said her snapper was among the best fish dishes she'd ever had. My sautéed lobster tail was just plain perfect, served with the Bahamian standard of pigeon peas and rice and various vegetables. Man wife exclaimed over her snapper, though she was wise enough to avoid saying it might be better than mine. We've been back three times and just love Princess. Food to make you happy and remember what really good, fresh fish that's perfectly cooked tastes like (stone crab are on the menu as well, along with a bunch of other dishes). Excellent stop for a meal, snack or coffee! Small establishment, but very impressive! We stopped for lunch with our teenage daughter and and everyone was happy. Wonderfully fresh options. It is worth checking out!

My friend and I went to try their coffee and breakfast but were immediately met with a cold and unhelpful attitude. We had arrived just before 11:30 and were told that the breakfast options were no longer available. Therefore we ordered two coffees and the...shrimp poke bowl. The two coffees tasted like milk with some coffee added and the shrimp was salty and overly spicy. In addition, this place only takes cash. What kind of establishment are you running here (tax evasion)? Even the corner store takes credit cards. The only saving grace was that one of the owners (the other brother) was very nice and accommodating. I will never come again and don’t recommend anyone else to try it. They shouldn’t call themselves coffee roasters because their coffee was the worst I’ve had on Harbour Island.More
