We had found this restaurant before we went away, and knew we would be trying it out. We had trouble finding it, and it was pouring down with rain! Unlucky us. Anyway it's a lovely family run restaurant, up a side street. The husband and wife team do the cooking. We had some fabulous grilled fish, frito misto, melanzane, and... More

For a first time experience at this restaurant I was impressed with the quality of the seafood, ambience, and the owner's (Enzo) vast knowledge of ingredients, wine, and freshness of product as well as his skills in the kitchen. My wife and I started out with grilled Octopus over a bed of creamed chickpeas, roasted cherry tomatoes, potatoes, celery, and... More

We've been here twice during our holiday. The fish and seafood is very fresh. We recommend the musselsoup or seafoodsoup. This is not soup, it is a big bowl with lovely clams and/or mussels.

I had the fish set menu when I came here and it was four courses of sheer deliciousness. It may in fact have been too much food, but when it tastes this good you can't let that put you off!

We visited as a family of 4 based on the Tripadvisor rating. However we were underwhelmed. The food is good and nicely presented, but not exceptional. The sea bass is presented in a unique 'butterflied' open cut, but it was a little dry. The pasta was good but not great. Nothing to complain about but we were expecting more from... More

We had dinner in July and had a table in the garden. Very nice atmosphere, cosy light, good food ( pasta, fish). The temperature was too high in the garden, as there were umbrellas all above the table, the heat of the day vould not escape. It was just too much heat which is not comfortable during dinner. Quality of... More

One of the best meals we had in Sicily (and that is saying something!) Our hotel tried to talk us out of coming but we trusted the Trip Advisor reviews and they were spot on. The 6 seafood appetizer had some of the best seafood items we've ever tasted. But the swordfish puttanesca was even better! Highly recommend this place.

We had lots of great food in Sicily, but we loved this meal. Firstly, the restaurant itself is quite atmospheric and the service was lovely. We liked the menu - a mix of 'land and sea' was how it was described. They did a €25 menu at lunchtime that we saw others have - it was 2 or 3 appetisers,... More

We were a group of six who walked in without booking (albeit quite early). Place was recommended by a local and we can see why! We were immediately greeted by a wonderful young waitress who did her best to communicate and joke with all our group even though one spoke no Italian, and she spoke a little English. Shortly we... Excellent local cuisine make sure you try. Loads of antipasti to choose from, and excellent desserts. The place is in a narrow street and unless you know about its not easy to find

Marricriu La Trattoria is located in Riposto in the province of Catania on the premises that the end of 800 housed one of the most important factories of barrels of time. Today, the tables and chairs have taken the place of those barrels, and while in the air will smell the fragrance of the good traditional Sicilian cuisine, good wine continues to be the thread that allows guests to rediscover smells and tastes perhaps now forgotten and that were once in everyday life.
