WE ate here on two occasions the food is excellent. Try and go for locally caught fish if you can. The staff are helpful and friendly.

We followed the good reviews and had a delicious meal here. We shared the tasting platter for the first course and it was superb including a delicious stuffed sardine. Pasta was also delicious and the dessert was just great. Pity we needed to move on...More

Very good food and large portions . In fact we struggled with our second course. The seafood anti pasto was a meal in itself. The fish soup also.

Enjoyed a tasty, beautifully cooked meal. Started with the smoked salmon entree - light, refreshing full of flavour. The sea bass was excellent as was the carbonara pasta. Chocolate mousse can be recommended to finish. Great service and loved the ambience of the restaurant.

A nice friendly restaurant. We sat outside, which at first felt a bit odd, sandwiched between high buildings , with the railway line behind, but you soon forgot about this. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. My husband chose the mussels, the portion size...More

Visited here twice and the food was excellent both times. I particularly enjoyed the smoked salmon starter, which came with a little glass jar of pistachio granita. Sounds an odd combination but it really did work. My friends had beef slices, an escalope and pasta,...More

Description
Marricriu La Trattoria is located in Riposto in the province of Catania on the premises that the end of 800 housed one of the most important factories of barrels of time. Today, the tables and chairs have taken the place of those barrels, and while in the air will smell the fragrance of the good traditional Sicilian cuisine, good wine continues to be the thread that allows guests to rediscover smells and tastes perhaps now forgotten and that were once in everyday life.
