We came here for dinner (booking a must) near the end of our holiday and had a most enjoyable meal with very tasty well presented food but the stars were the staff who were exceptionally friendly and even though the place was busy the ladies...were super efficient but with a smile and great sense of humour. Definitely worth a visit if you are anywhere near Amble.More
The great blackboard menu selection (including a generous range of sides - get the lobster mac and cheese) made it difficult to choose but we had both fish and meat dishes and they were excellent. A bonus that portions were a decent size and plates...were well presented. I wish I had a restaurant this committed to fresh produce, at these prices, on my doorstep. I'm very glad I managed to bag the last table available and will be back next time we're in the area.More
Having read reviews booked in advance of our holiday stay in Amble. So glad we did Choice of starters and mains were good. Mussels in cider with pancetta for starters were the best I have ever had! Monkfish with scallops for the main outstanding. Portions...were excellent. The double cooked chips as a side were ace. Didn't have room for dessertMore
Booked way back in March hoping we would be able to have a family meal while on holiday in Northumberland
After reading lots of reviews I went for Sea&Soil
Thankfully it happened tonight and wasn’t disappointed
Three courses of gorgeous food, decent portions and surprisingly...great value.
Nice atmosphere will all but available tables full. I am guessing the other was a no show though as the restaurant was fully booked
Such a shame people do this to businesses who are struggling with COVID restrictions opening with reduced numbers and social distancing. I would happily give a deposit when booking to help business recover and prevent no shows
Although back to the restaurant what a lovely end to end our holidays
Go give Sea&Soil a try it won’t disappointMore
Absolutely excellent lunch. I had mussels in cider and pancetta (very original) followed by monkfish loin. My wife had haddock croquette, followed by halibut. All dishes were carefully prepared, interesting combinations of ingredients, and beautifully presented. Apart from the treat of being able to eat...in a restaurant, it was a really excellent meal, with good service & we thoroughly enjoyed it.More
Second visit and even though we really enjoyed that first visit the second one outshone that! Fabulous food cooked and presented by excellent, friendly and efficient staff. Menu changes regularly and covers all tastes. Definitely return again
