Elaborate meals. Worth the experience especially in the summer for the lovely view over the wineries.

Amazing views. Good local wine list. Tasty food - go for the rabbit and snails. But, we felt like we were interrupting the owner and an annoyance, which almost ruined our lunch. We had two kids with us (5 and 2 years old) and we were not told there was a kids menu - they were given something we didn't... More
Set on the hillside overlooking Bourgueil this exellent restaurant is realy worth seeking out. We visited this restaurant on the way to a wine tasting nearby. At this time of year the restaurant is unmistakable with the blue windmill sat on a hill over looking the vineyards and countryside. We had lunch on a Saturday, the welcome was good the dining room a lovely curved ceiling in pale stone. Tables were well laid out... More
We arrived on motorcycles without a booking.we were shown a table on the terrace. The staff were nice and helpfull and spoke a little english to translate some of the words we did not understand. The menu was limited but what was on offer was very well presented, and very tasty. The wine was a little expensive to say they have the vinyards... More
This restaurant was charming, with excellent service and a choice of menus, either a fixed menu with limited choice, or a la carte. We had the fixed menu of a starter, main and dessert, all of which were innovative and tasty. There was a good wine list too! We ate outside on the terrace, which was excellent.
Great location with a view across the Loire Valley. Our food was excellent - possibly the best we had all week. We had one of the set menus which had quality from the starter to the desert. Peaches in mint syrup with peach sorbet were particularly memorable.
I suspect Le Moulin Bleu is still living on its past reputation when it offered high quality food (at higher than average prices). By 2014 the standards have fallen - but not the prices!
