Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A perfect place to meet locals. Great service and great rumpunch! We did not eat there, but we spent some pleasant time hanging by the bar. You must try one of their cocktails.

Great local food in Kingstown at very reasonable prices. The roti is a speciality and particularly tasty.

Lovely but simple bar with lots of choices. Easy going and laid back as expected for local bar n.diner. ....if the locals eat there then u see a queue for takeaway you know it's good. Got off cruise and stopped just for drinks but wish...I was hungry as food smelt goodMore

It’s a typical Caribbean Restaurant, nothing fancy, but good value for what you get. We have been travelling for a month through the region and if you are already on “island mode” you will learn to appreciate the place. If you just arrived and expect...a western kind of service, you will end up very disappointed. This place runs mostly for take aways, but they have tables inside with A/C or outside at the back. You have to order first and then pay, which works like a take away place, but they will bring it to your table. Friendly Caribbean staff, good food for value.More

First let’s start with the fact that when you arrive no one greets you, you actually have to go to the workers. They are very rude I waited at least an hour I had to go ask for service. If you are a foreigner they...hate on you. They are very jealous of foreign women. There food presentation sucks, the food itself sucks. The food looks like it’s thrown on a plate for a dog. The owner is a very jealous woman. It was the worst dinning experience of my life on vacation . They have no professionalism.More

Don't even bother trying to grab lunch here during a weekday. All of the locals from downtown come here for lunch at the same time, and they only offer a buffet at this time.

Went here around midday on a Thursday. Me and my partner attended Veejay’s around midday for lunch, upon arrival we were told we were slightly early and offered a juice drink to wait. We accepted and sat down to wait for lunch to be served....Within 15 minutes the place exploded with the workforce of Kingstown: Police officers, builders, office workers, school children all lining up for their lunch. We joined the queue and both had a roti which was delightful. If you want to see Caribbean culture in action you should come here.More

Roti is the best on the island and as with everyone in St. Vincent the staff makes you feel like you are the only person in the place (but it's packed)!

We came here for dinner one evening - the staff were lovely however we did wait for a long time to get our food. However, the fish rotis were amazing and very much worth the wait!

Visited here for lunch while in Kingstown. As we entered, no one acknowledged us and we had to inquire where to sit and if table service was available. It was. We had to line up to place our orders and take the food to the...table for ourselves. They waiter then brought our drinks to the table. To be fair, she seemed to be overwhelmed. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. This place is not a fancy restaurant but has good food and a great view of busy Kingstown. Probably will give it a try again.More

We see lots of very good reviews about this place, here and there. Well, it wasn’t as positive when I went there. On a Saturday around 11:30 AM, the restaurant was nearly empty, and the waitress guided us towards the terrasse on the upper floor....We had to wait a first long time to get a menu. We got the cocktails list, so we asked for a “food menu”. She looked exasperated and threw us a poor list of dishes. Never a smile, never felt welcome in this place. Miles away from the positive attitude we experienced through our Caribbean trip. After waiting again more than 15 minutes, we left without ordering. Too bad, the place looked nice and clean!More
