Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

On St Vincent for a week and we used TripAdvisor and past knowledge to visit a number of restaurants. Friend had been to Driftwood 3 years ago and we heard good things. Was a big disappointment. Noted last review on Tripadvisor was back in Jan...2022, I wonder if others had received a poor meal and just have not provided feedback. The positive - staff were great and really tried, but they only had on server and one person in the kitchen. In total 7 people in the restaurant, including us, for the evening, yet it took 90mins before our starter came (hummus and pitta bread and green salad), our mains came 20 mins later. I asked for a lightly seared tuna steak, it was cooked to death, so tough and I left half of it, it was served with just a jacket potato, asked about the steamed vegetables which came 15mins later, clearly (as you can see from the photo) stirred fried and inedible. It was such a disappointment. Message to the owners, if you do not have the staff then please do not open the restaurant, it is so damaging to provide such a poor level of service.More

The restaurant is set on a slope by Barefoot boat charters but is independently run. It is very informal and flip flops and T shirt is the order of the day. The food is great - conch fritters and locally caught fish went well with...us. You get the benefit of a good view across Blue Lagoon and out to Young Island. We staying in rooms at Barefoot and had breakfast as well which was fulsome and tasty - well recommended.More

Enjoyed Driftwood twice recently. Small menu but everything Rhonda and crew put out is terrific. Really enjoyed the conch fritters and vegetable samosas, and the Driftwood salad ... we substituted fresh caught fish (first tuna, then mahi mahi) for the chicken ... yum.

This was the type of restaurant experience I was looking for in the Caribbean! Beautiful setting with palm trees overlooking the Blue Lagoon bay in this charming authentic Caribbean setting. I highly recommend the Roti! The staff are welcoming and service is first class and...beyond what I have experienced in so called five star restaurants in St. Vincent.More

Great little spot with a nice view of the bay. We had the blackened fish dinner and soup. Both very good. It was very quiet when we were there but the food was great and the service very friendly so I’m glad we brought them...some business.More

Arrived Calliaqua late on a friday evening, went on bit of walk for food options and found this place. Only a few people there so service was quite quick. Menu reasonably varied but being near the sea I went for catch of the day, yellow...fish tuna. Was very tasty.More

Thank God for this restaurant. I've had a hard time finding any decent food in Saint Vincent, maybe because I don't eat fish and seafood. Had a freshly baked pepperoni pizza which was the best meal I've had on the island in the 10 days...I've been here. Great views, vibes and service. Highly recommended.More

Over looking the water open air with nice breeze in Calliaqua. Nice ambiance and great food. Grilled mahi and garlic pasta and grilled chicken salad with cranberries and almonds. Would go back

Nice quiet place, hidden away from the street. Food was a bit slow but delicious. Worth the wait. Had a tenderloin steak with vegetables, rice and salad. Reasonably priced. A must visit for anyone in St Vincent.

Breakfasts are amazing with lovely mugs of tea and views across the lagoon. All the food we had here has been good, the staff are very friendly and helpful, which seems to be the norm on this beautiful island.

The Driftwood's casual elegance is perched above the Blue Lagoon. A short walk from the Blue Lagoon Marina, it offers a delicious and varied menu with Caribbean specialties such as pumpkin soup, conch and daily fish. Its open and cozy atmosphere is accentuated by the...chef and staff who will customize your dinner or drinks.More

We stayed just around the corner from Driftwood and walked there for breakfast one morning. It has a great view of the marina and really good food! We had an order of banana pancakes and a ham and cheese omelet and split them between the...two of us. Both were really good, and our waitress was very sweet and helpful. Food came out very fast for St Vincent, which was appreciated as we had to get to the Ferry that morning. Wish we had tried the place for dinner too, but didn't realize that it was there until our last day. Would highly recommend!More

We enjoyed a nice burger and drinks after a long day of air travel to get to Barefoot. Nice view of the Lagoon, Once you get there, get into the caribbean beat. Slow down, and enjoy. This is not fast food. It's slow food.
