We spent an evening at Sugar meal and really enjoyed the atmosphere, service, and the food. The chicken breast is coconut was terrific as was the curried chicken.

What a location, this is better than waterfront, it is over the water. Food was very good, the curry fish and chips was a nice twist as was the grilled ham and cheese. The pelican's performance was great and the view of long bay and...More

We dined one night at the Sugar Mill restaurant and had a great meal. I had the surf and turf which was excellent, but my wife clearly won with the best dish - the lobster ravioli. Service was good and portions were generous.

We were excited to eat here after reading the reviews. Food was very good but the experience was somewhat ruined by some rather loud patrons at another large table. Very cool building and history.

I'm wondering if the person responding to reviews works in the restaurant at night? If so, I'll walk down to D Coal Pot for dinner next month when I'm there.

We stayed at the Sugar Mill in February and did go to D' Coal Pot a couple of times. However they are moving sometime this summer to a new location that is not within walking distance. You might want to check on the timing... More
