Great place to have unexpensive lunch among the many locals who come here for a good lunch break meal. As good as the cuisine at Chez Maguy is, it is merely impossible to overlook the terrible waitress that was serving us on 3 different occasions....Really bad attitude and unfriendy demeanor. The lovely owner - Maguy - should really consider finding someone for open to actually please customers.More

This little restaurant is tucked away in Hope Estate and a real gem that must be visited!! It's only open for lunch and it's very busy! Why? Because it's a favourite of the locals....and they know a thing or two about creole cooking! Well done...Maguy! You are a delight and your food is fantastico!More

This is not a place with great views and tons of ambiance but the food is to die for!! I had the flank steak and it was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Wow! We have talked about this meal ever since we left!

Chez Maguy was recommended to us by the owner of our guesthouse. We loved it so much, we had take-away and two sit-down meals during our one week island vacation. Location: CM is located outside of Grand Case in the same little shopping area as...the Simply grocery store. There is a small, outside, covered eating area and an open inside dining area as well. Food: Authentic food at a great price point. We were always the only non-locals eating and many people stopped for take-away each time we were there. Flavorful dishes (fish, skewers, rice and beans, creole influenced). Serving breakfast and open until 4pm most days - but dinner hours on Friday or Saturday? Check their Facebook page for details. Delicious!More

If you have seen the ocean, and don't need the romantic view, Chez Maguy may be what you are looking for. Super fresh food, locals eating here "not tourists". Pricing is very fair, service very nice, portions large in comparison to many restaurants. If you...are on island for a while make this a MUST DO stop. If you are here on a cruise ship, follow the tourists this may not be for you. We will of course return. See the photos attached. JcMore
