We’re in St Martin for 2 weeks every year. We love coming here to get ribs ($6 per rack of ribs) and side of cole slaw ($3). Delicious and mostly meaty baby backs. Worth the drive. A nice taste of local fare. Many other options...(chicken, fish, etc.), at reasonable prices.More
The food and service were great for lunch break. The portion sizes were filling and everyone at our table had complimented their menu choices. Our table had everything from Rib and Chicken combo, creole shrimp, rice and beans, curry rice, etc. You can't go wrong...with anything you choose.More
Truth is nobody really goes to Lolos for the views but for great comfort food and to experience the local atmosphere, while very likely dining on the budget too, though this one actually has a few tables right on the beautiful waterfront (no shade though...so most likely you will end up eating inside).
We took 3x Johnny Cakes, 2x Corns, Chicken & Ribs to go - all of that food to go was $15 US - can't beat it, this is how we ate our last meal in 2019 when we visited St Martin and this is how we concluded our 2020 visit to St Martin right before catching a plane - if you need a quick and tasty lunch you never can't go wrong with the lolos :)
Tip: cash only, and most likely you walked here in the area so it doesn't matter but if you indeed drove a car to Grand Case then there is a big parking lot right across the Lolos which during the day time is pretty much always empty (in the evening completely full)More
We ate here everyday for a week, either lunch or dinner. Three of us loved the ribs, one of us loved the rice and beans, and the vegetarian among us enjoyed a full plate of sides (Mac/cheese, veggies, Cole slow, corn, Jonny cakes, and more)....Never gets old and the price is right!More
I was out on a tour with our driver who brought us to this location as a result of us asking to stop because of the smell of barbecue. There were several restaurants located in this area that were cooking barbecue all of which smelled...very good. We asked If we could get the items to go and have them packaged for us in containers so we could continue the tour we had already started. We ordered with a young lady and she went off to fill the order of chicken rice and salad and ribs rice and salad and chicken breast barbecued. I asked for an extra container to put some of the hot sauce to add to our meal. We received the meal nicely packaged with plastic utensils and all of the sauces located in the container. I used the extra container to fill it up with some hot sauce from the table. There was one primary negative issue I found with receiving the to go order. The Green salad was put in with the hot rice and the hot meat. The green salad apparently cooked while in there with the hot food inside the styrofoam container. I would recommend that they separate the salad or use something different to ensure that the salad is not unintentionally cooked when given with a to-go order.More
We went with friends, this Lolo now has a great view of the sea, a plus. We sat by the fan to keep cool. We all had ribs and enjoyed them. My side was rice and peas, which was very good, also some green beans....Friend had salad, but it was warm and not much selection for dressing, DH had slaw that was ok and served at room temperature. Large water only $2, wine was not good but was only $4.More
I have now eaten in all four Lolo's in Grand Case. This one was excellent. Both my wife and I ordered the red snapper, she with salad, I with cabbage and carrots. The fish was delicious and the sides were perfect. She washed it down...with a bottle of Presidente ($2.00), beer being off my currently allowed foods, I had an orangina. Service was ok, food was delicious.More
