A return trip to L’Auberge Gourmande and it did not disappoint. Service was super, from parking our car for us to the wait staff. The sommelier suggested a nice bottle of wine once I told him what French wine producer was my favorite. Dinner:
Baked...Goat cheese with honey in phyllo, baked apple served with mixed greens, roasted rack of lamb and vanilla biscuit with creme brûlée and chocolate mousse, apple tart flambé. What a meal this evening! Thanks Pascal for a wonderful meal!More
Could not wait to get back to L' Auberge Gourmande. The food was as delicious as I remembered. The staff is wonderful and we got a chance to catch up with Pascal. I was impressed with how well the island is handling the COVID protocols....Everyone wears their masks and there were had sanitizing stations where ever we went. They are working hard to keep everyone safe while still able to enjoy a relaxing vacation.More
The highlight of the meal was the lamb. It was delicious and would order that again, and the vegetables on the side were also very good. For one of the appetizers we got (salmon tar tar and ravioli dish), the ravioli was not that flavorful....However, the lamb was so good and the service so friendly that we still felt inclined to leave 5 stars.More
We stopped here for our 48th anniversary. It was very good and the service was excellent. Started out with champagne and appetizers. I had the French onion soup hitch was very good but the lobster bisque my son had was excellent. Th onion soup was...aa large bowl almost too large. Next time I will get the bisque. The dinners were excellent.More
L'Auberge Gourmande is just an outstanding place for a romantic dinner. Pascal is the owner and a wonderful host. The staff really know how to treat customers. Rack of Lamb is some of the best I've had. Due to Covid it's been over a year...since we've been able to come back. Glad we did.More
What an amazing experience and meal! It seemed like we were being attended to by every employee and they all enjoy the same passion for food and wine! The owner stopped a couple times to chat...great place to have a fabulous French dinner.
We decided that our last night in SXM must be at a new (to us) French restaurant in Grand Case. L'Augerge Gourmande was the choice after two couples already dining commented that we must try it. We enjoyed the ravioli starter special and honestly wanted...to lick the plate. The mushroom sauce was fantastic! My husband opted for the stuffed quail and I ordered the Dover Sole. Our entire experience was amazing thanks to the phenomenal service from Jennifer and we felt like we had known her for years! You must try the homemade desserts, save room, the mousse chocolate with crème brûlée middle was the grand finale that made this a memorable visit!More
This restaurant has been one of our favorite places for a great dinner, for years now. When I go there, I love to order of the “specials” menu because the Chef always has delicious specials here. I had the Grouper and Monk fish that night...and was very pleased with my meal. The wait staff is very professional and speaks English very well, among other languages as well. This night we ate on the patio out front (open air). We highly recommend this restaurant.More
Super good. Worth going if you have a lot of time, but it just misses my top 5 and might be replaced once I try the last couple of places on my list. You have to sit indoor, but that’s ok. It’s cute in its...own way, but not as much as a vibe as places on the water and in orient bay village. This place is real French, as opposed to the French fusion vibes you see else where. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered.More
