This restaurant has a wonderful outdoorsy atmosphere. Trees and plants everywhere and then the Coqui frogs began singing as it got dark!

The pace is beautiful and offers nice plates. However, the variety depends on when you go, too expensive

We visited upon recommendation of our concierge. We had ceviche which was loaded with sugar and just wrong. The meatballs were flavourless. The steak was also not good and served with vegetables that were clearly from a frozen bag. Really terrible.

Delicious and interesting cuisine at Princesa. From the appetizers (we actually ordered seconds) to the dessert, everything was amazing. Plus, the best drinks we had during our visit to San Juan. All in a delightfully hidden patio complete with live music. Two of us could...More

My fiancée and I went here last night for dinner and it was amazing. The server was very attentive, the drinks were good and the food was excellent. He rarely raves over new places but my fiancé really enjoyed the salmon and the chorizo appetizer!...More

If you are at the port in Old San Juan it is a short walk, if at Panamerican Port near Covention Center you must take a cab.

Description
Our Gastronomy Dates back to the 1850's At Princesa we've rescued the 1859 cookbook El cocinero puertorriqueño (The Puertorrican Cook). It contains details about 19th century Puertorrican culinary culture and its influences from Africa, Spain, the native Taínos and other Caribbean islands. Since the book was missing some parts related to the ingredients, our kitchen staff has worked to reconstruct its recipes using all of the available information. For the most part we have kept to the ingredients from the original recipes. We invite you to taste and learn about the best of our culinary culture.
