We have been here a few times over the years. I don't know why we keep coming back. Perhaps its because the beer is super cold. But then so was the pizza. We are pizza lovers and we have had San Juan best and not quite best. Our veggie pizza here would rank among the most tasteless of all. Imagine... More

We are not local but we do come here about once a year while on vacation. The food has always been good. They have a great wine selection along with beer and spirits. There is a liquor store attached. There is inside seating and outside. The service is always better inside. The older your server the more authentic your experience... More

We are a family of four and we had two spaghetti meat balls, one pizza Appia and one pizza cheese and tomato. The portions were big and we had much food over. The spaghetti was swimming in tomato sauce (or tomato juice?) and the two big meat balls didn't have much taste. These were certainly prepared in advance. It would... More

When we entered for dinner (6 PM) we were greeted and sat in the very front lunch area. My husband asked if there was beer "on tap" and was lectured on why that does not exist in PR. When I asked where the restroom was, our elderly waiter pointed to the kitchen. I said "Are you sure?" and then his... More

We are Local and probably get a pizza a couple a times a month here to go, and great place to hang out with friends for food and drinks. They have surprisingly great Churrasco steak, and other dishes on white board. Their Special Pizza (Via Appia) has vegatables and meat, our kids like 1/2 cheese 1/2 pepperoni. Place really is... We ate at Via Appia for dinner last night and it was a wonderful meal. Everyone was very friendly and the service was great. They brought toasted Italian bread which was yummy. The food was nicely portioned and at a reasonable price. Other customers were a bit loud, but it contributes to the atmosphere of a nice family restaurant. We... More

We are standing on the street with so many choices close to our hotel. We literally could not decide between Puerto Rican, Mexican or Italian. I heard one of the older gentlemen (dark hair, he looked Italian) say "heyyyyy something something" he sounded authentic! I turned to my husband and said, "Italians in Puerto Rico...I'm with them!" Haha. Needless to... More

This restaurant was such a disappointment. They are way too expensive for what they serve. I ordered a lasagna and it had no flavor. The meat was a weird color. A frozen dinner would of tasted better. The gnocchi was awful. We ordered it with Alfredo sauce and they failed to let us know about the additional $3 charge for... More

We decided to dine there on one of the nights we stayed in the town. We like the varieties of the Cal zone and Italian sandwiches. I ordered the veal sandwich and my husband ordered the veggie calzone. The sandwich was OK, the buns was too big and the quantity of the meat is much smaller than I expected for... More
