We went to La Placita which is a well known area just outside San Juan that’s full of local music, food and people. It’s quiet on Tuesday nights which made it easier for us to find Asere and get a table. It was busy and...More

We had a simply amazing meal at this spot in the Santurce neighborhood serving Cuban / Puerto Rican cuisine. The corner restaurant is located in the middle of the action, and is a fun vantage spot from which to watch the local crowds hanging out...More

This is a great spot to get a feel for the real San Juan - not as touristy - but where the locals come to enjoy each other's company and eat/drink. The food is great - try to the roasted chicken - some of the...More

Asere has a great location in a corner of La Placita, the best place where locals hangs around. They have two bars lower and 2nd level, both with great bar tenders. Food is Cuban & Puertorrican flavors, their tapas are good.

We went on New Year’s Eve and outside the restaurant were bars with people singing in the streets, music playing it was very exciting. The food was good, waiters were okay. The Cuban sandwich was very good.

This restaurant was excellent....perfectly executed authentic Cuban/PR food. It deserves much more hype compared to the inundating raves about Jose Enrique’s (underwhelming). It was hard to choose from the menu with so many delicious choices. We got the Cuban spring rolls which were perfect little...More
