What a good surprise! We have read the reviews and this restaurante wasn't in the top 10 for Negril but it MUST be. The food is really great and the service good. We were staying at the hotel and we brought our own wine and they didn't charge extra for this.

Bongos is the restaurant on site at the Sandy Haven resort. During my stay at the resort I dined at Bongos twice and each time the food was divine! The atmosphere is very elegant and relaxing, but not too stuffy as you can still wear your casual clothing. The décor is aesthetically pleasing and there is beautiful live piano music... More

Located in Sandy Haven resort, we had dinner one night and appetizers/ cocktails another night here. Like Sandy Haven, the restaurant is very well-appointed, chic, awesome upscale-ish trendy decor. The food is very good, too--elegant and well-presented twists on Jamaican food. If you're dressed up and/or looking for a nice, elegant dinner, try it!

Based on another review, we thought we would try this restaurant. It was terrific. We had the Thursday 2-for1 special, and it did not disappoint. We chose the menu with pumpkin soup, sirloin, and rum banana split dessert. We were apprehensive about ordering beef since it is generally not up to U.S. expectations in the Caribbean, but it was very... More

We have been to Negril many times and love Jamaican food, however, Bongo's is a welcome diversion from chicken and rice & peas. We ate here again inside the Sandy Haven Hotel on a Thursday evening for Two-for-one night that starts at 7PM. They offer three menu choices for around (36-40USD) which includes appetizer, bread& butter, main course and dessert.... More

To be honest, we were surprised with the outcome of our meal. We happened to be staying at the hotel that this restaurant is located in and were totally displeased with everything about the hotel. The food at Bongo's was delicious! The service was a bit slow but the food was worth the wait. My friend and I ordered the... More

We had dinner here on Saturday June 13th and there was one other table besides ours. The food and service were very good, it just felt so sad. Lovely atmosphere and lots of possibility for the future.

Crab and corn chowder! That's all I can say! I am obsessed with it. It is so creamy and so good. If you're in Negril, stop by for drinks and the chowder. It makes my heart happy. Dwight, the property manager was excellent. The chefs Tristan and the other one (im sorry I forgot his name) went above and beyond... More
