I guess it's true that they do run out of things, because we showed up at 6:30 pm and the only things left on the menu were fried chicken and curried goat. Almost walked out, but changed our minds and stayed, and of course we had fried chicken ($5) and curried goat ($6). Both were good, and served in wonderful... More

We enjoyed a great lunch meal at Mom's. We had oxtail and fried chicken both of which were very tasty. We asked if they had any ackee or festival left from breakfast. They didn't but graciously provided us fried dumplings at no charge. Four of us enjoyed a great Jamaican meal for US$30. Not a fancy spot but a very... More

We went for breakfast and felt that as a tourist I was getting authentic food. They don't take cards, but you are able to pay in US dollars and will get change in their currency. The food was traditional (stewed chicken, mackerel, saltfish, ackee, etc.) however you can order back and eggs if you're looking for an American breakfast as... More

The Chicken soup was to die for! We had curry goat and it was the very best I've ever had. A truly authentic experience.

Mom's is a place I visit every time I go to Jamaica. Visited twice this trip. Had curry goat first time and oxtail the second. Both times the food was excellent. For good food go early as some dishes run out quickly.

Best bet for a great Jamaican breakfast, come hungry leave happy. I couldn't get enough of their coffee, mackerel rundown had me licking my lips. Only sad part is ordered the ackeee and saltfish the next day and I'm still searching for my saltfish. They say it's expensive there but wow, they could do better. It was still delicious and... Mom's is a satisfactory diner serving some decent Jamaican fare. Nice place to grab some breakfast and they've got a killer oxtail going for them. Good value place but their signage is super small and easily overlooked.

We had a visit there in August and it was raining but they were very accommodating. The place was very small but we were able to get in and out. We had curry chicken ox tail and curry goat with peas n rice. We also bought drinks and had soup as a starter and for three people it was only... More
