If you are in Mobay , you must have at least one dinner at the Sugar Mill (eat outside) . The restaurant is stunning. The Staff A++. We were celebrating s my best friend’s birthday. ( it was really in November, but had to be...pushed back due to Covid. ) As I glance around my table, I couldn’t believe how beautiful the place was. I thought the food cannot beat the atmosphere; I was wrong. The food was fabulous , each morsel full of flavor, and presentation on point. When you get there, check out the special. During my visit, it was lobster, shrimp, snapper in a scrumptious curry sauce. There are just no words to explain just how damn good that dish was. In fact, we loved this restaurant so much, we went back a few days later and ate our way through the tapas menu with a couple of bottles of champagne. Another unforgettable evening Thanks to our waiter Colin and all the Sugar Mill Staff we will be back you can bet on itMore

This was the worst meal I have ever had in Jamaica. I felt like I was eating at a 1 star chinese or thai restaurant. I asked for steamed grouper and asked how it was cooked to make sure there was not a lot of...oil in the meal. The waiter said it was cooked in coconut milk. I received my meal and there was no coconut milk. It was just dosed in oil. I have never received my food this oily ever except for at a cheap Chinese or Thai restaurant. I felt horrible for days. I will never return. Don’t go here!!!!!More

Nothing beats the Sugar Mill's setting and beautiful outdoor veranda. We enjoyed excellent service on New Year's Eve - and from our stay at Half Moon, it was a special place on a special night. Service was exceptional. Our meal was good, not great: meats...were less than tender (and I battled with my rack of lamb).Would have expected better at the price.More

We had two very different meals. One was extremely poor. Waugh beef really tough and inedible. Plus there was a surcharge for this meal, which was refunded as the meal was returned. Second visit was better.

We had our evening at the Sugar Mill Restaurant as a group of friends. The outdoor atmosphere is in a beautiful setting with the old mill wheel turning near by our table. The calming croaking of the small frogs was a most pleasant background music...straight from nature. Our wait staff was very attentive to our needs and were very pleasant throughout the evening. The evening was delightfully accented when Chef Christopher stop at our table for a short visit. On to the reason we came to the Sugar Mill, the food. The menu itself was a watercolor piece of art. The selection of foods was enticing and varied enough to meet the taste of everyone in our party. The evening became wonderful night of tasting traditional fare as well as some truly delicious Jamaican foods. As each course was presented to the table, a brief explanation was given about the foods that were prepared for us. This was followed by am amazing selection of desserts. It would be only right to say that Chef Christopher and his staff created a very memorable evening for our group. Thank you Chef Christopher for a most enjoyable dining experience. I can not recall any other dining experience to match our evening at the Sugar Mill Restaurant. I anticipate a return visit with great excitementMore

5 star service, ambiance and dining experience! Located at the entrance of the golf course and next to the original water wheel used when a sugar cane plantation, Sugar Mill restaurant topped off the Jamaican vacation in style.

I ate dinner here with a large group. We sat out on the veranda and enjoyed a delicious dinner. The salmon was fantastic and the portions huge.

If you are looking for a sophisticated night out with amazing food, definitely visit this restaurant. With seating inside, under cover and outside, you won’t be disappointed. The food was amazing and they tactfully took good care of our rowdy bunch!

Excellent dining experience with a broad menu that is prepared very creatively, served by a very professional, well-trained and friendly staff in a space with a really cool historical, romantic ambience. Without a doubt the best meal that we had in Jamaica (and most expensive)!...We would definitely go back and highly recommend Sugar Milll as equivalent to the best restaurants in any country.More

My wife, son and I came down to Jamaica for a four night getaway. We stayed at the Riu Hotel, which was pretty much an all-inclusive dump. We decided to get off of the resort for our last night. After reading reviews for every fine...restaurant on Montego Bay, we decided to trySugar MIll. From the complimentary car service that picked us up at our hotel to the drive up to the restaurant and the beauty of the property...to the meal, it was a wonderful dining experience! I can not recommend the place enough! That said, it is not cheap! My only gripe is that when I looked at the bill, I saw that they charged my son for a second soft drink. That’s a bit petty when considering that the entire bill was $459 for 3 of us.More
