Celebrating my Mother's 92nd, the staff was so wonderful to her. We sat outside under the huge Bombay mango tree; very cool with a nice breeze at 5p.m. I ordered the Ackee and Saltfish which is served with Bammy and steamed veggies. It was just right! My Mother loved her curry goat with Rice and Peas! Such a wonderful evening!

Atmosphere is great if you like a tropical outdoor setting. Be fore-warned that there is no air-conditioning however there are indoor fans. We had a group of 10 for dinner and service was pleasant and professional. The food ranged between average and adequate. We avoided the ackee since we were told that it was canned (vs. fresh). The lowlight was... More

The staff, atmosphere and setting is wonderful, food average and overpriced. If they can get a balance with food quality and price this will be a must visit spot.......

The Grog Shop is the restaurant venue in the Devon House property. The Devon House itself was constructed in 1881 and the restaurant was added over the years in one of the historic brick buildings onsite. The menu includes Jamaican favorites. Not every item is available every day so one of us could not have the pigtail and pea stew,... More

The place is great: a beautiful garden in an ancient house. The meal is no so special, it depends on the plate you choose. The juices are not natural.

After a trip around the Devon House - The perfect Spot in the centre of Kingston for lunch. A taste of Old world Jamaica, Historic Settings (Interrupted by a Little Rain) but perfect food for all of us. Service was excellent, and the food was outstanding.

the service was amazing our waiter was quick, pleasant and made our experience a great one. For appetizer the bbq wings and garlic bread was ok. the stuffed chicken breast was amazing (which says a lot as im not a cello fan) and the chutney to the side complimented it. one of the best chocolate mousse i have ever had

The restaurant is located in the Devon House, which makes it fun and cool to visit. We ate in the courtyard, which was absolutely beautiful. The food was pretty good; typical Jamaican. The mosquitoes were there in abundance (glad we brought OFF).

We've been to Grog Shoppe restaurant for lunch. The location is really nice, under a big tree and with live music in the park nearby, but the food was nothing special...
