We went twice to eat at Colombo and had the chicken, which is very good, but on both occasions it was not very hot. Haricots verts were mushy and cold. Rice was tasty. Chips were cold on one occasion. We were not impressed with the mixed starters of fish for 2 either. Not quite sure what the kitchen staff is up to, as on both days it was not particularly busy in the restaurant. Perhaps the owner needs to keep a closer eye on things. There was a lot of staff loitering about. Wine selection is reasonably good and on both occasions we had a bottle of Sancerre. Well presented and well served. waiting staff is friendly. It can get very busy here, as they cater for large groups (including weddings). probably best to avoid the weekends as individual travellers.

A nice place to have lunch while one can enjoy a quick swim or just relax in front of the beach.
The restaurant has been in business for many years and it’s quite organize. The service is quick and the servers are polite. The specialty seems to be the seafood, because I saw many customers ordered them. I didn’t have any, but the appetizers I ordered was good.
It’s a nice restaurant and I would be back again.

Used to the place every year, very disappointed for the second time, very clear increase in the lobster menu at €69, which was good all the same, on the other hand impossible to eat the conch dish at €40, rubber consumed in half. A barely consumed banana flambée too. For complete consumption, starter dishes desserts wine water, juice, No commercial gesture from the manager who served us and noticed the uneaten dishes, closed face, no smile. Not to mention that we ate with one hand to chase away flies. To be crossed out

After a lovely month in Guadeloupe, this restaurant was a really unpleasant way to spend our last afternoon. It was a 45 minute wait for drinks & 2 hours for food. We only received both after many inquiries to staff. People that had arrived after us were served before us (which added to the frustration). That could have been because the server, who we had flagged down, and who took our order, (after sitting for 30 minutes) was multi-tasking & speaking to someone else on head phones as well as us. At 1 hour & 40 minutes, after many inquiries & thinking of leaving, we were assured that the food was on its way. When it arrived 25 minutes later (!!!) the rice was cold, the ouassous (fresh water shrimp a local delicacy) tepid. It also had that mushy consistency that shrimp gets as it is beginning to turn bad. We complained to one of the owners, who was manning the cash, about the wait & the quality of the food. She was uninterested & said if you are seating 200 people there is bound to be a wait. My response is not if it is a well run restaurant and why seat 200 people if you can’t handle it??? Avoid this restaurant…..bad service, bad food & too expensive. Why bother? There are many excellent choices in Saint François with great service and pleasant staff.

We visited the restaurant today. It’s situated in a lovely spot, you sit under trees, right at the beach and chickens are running around. One star for the ambience. BUT: the older lady with the glasses was very unfriendly, we even ordered in French and she gave us really bad looks and was very short and snappy. The assorted salad with Crevette topping was a joke and the chicken and Fritte were super dry. No love in the meals. The 2nd star goes to the bread and dips they handed out as an entrée which was really nice! The boys who brought the drinks are also working hard but that lady with the glasses should not work in service!

We had hoped to eat here more than once: be assured, the food is good. We had nice crab farci, fricassee de lambi and goat colombo. The service however was terrible. We started with a bottle of water and a ti punch. Then we tried to order a bottle of wine. When it did not arrive with the main course, they said they had ran out of it. We asked for another bottle. They did not have it. Then we had a third choice: it was available.....oh no, 5 minutes later it was not. They only had a half bottle of Sancerre. we declined because we almost had finished our meal.
Upon paying there was a bottle of Sancerre at €32 on the bill...It was taken off immediately, but our aftertaste was bitter. Pity.

We went there confidently, having had confirmation that lobsters were served for our dinner.
We are told when ordering that none will be served.

Very disappointed !!!!
We had reserved a table for 7 adults and 2 children.
This place is known for its specialty; The Lobster so we wanted to taste it of course, especially since 7 years ago we came there and had an excellent time and we had a great time.
I can tell you that things have changed a lot, the establishment has been taken over by the children, nothing has changed, it starts with the reception; very average !
Then regarding the house specialty none of us were able to taste it because there was no more!!! 😠
Not one out of the 7 adults we were with, this is really disappointing especially since 3/4 of the dishes offered on the menu are composed of Lobster.
Then we chose our aperitifs, barely our aperitifs were served when our dishes arrived 🤔 incomprehensible.
And to continue 😀 to go well with our dishes we chose wine, well almost, because we had to make 3 different choices because we were out of stock!!!
Whether red or white, incredible evening 😀😀😀
Of course we won't come back, avoid it!!!

Very good restaurant with its feet in the water with the bottle of rum left on the table. The grilled lobsters are exceptional and the dish is very or even too generous! Efficient and available staff. The only downside is the price which continues to soar (€74 per person). It is better to be warned in advance. We still enjoyed ourselves

We know this restaurant having been there many times over several years. It is true that for some time now, things have been deteriorating a little, but this is simply something to be avoided. We were taking friends there with complete confidence and what a disappointment!

In the dust, the chickens on the tables, the dirty plates.

During my last family meal (11 guests), at the beginning of March, a big surprise awaited us. My reservation made 3 weeks previously had not been taken into account. installation of the table between the road and the DJ.
The service was poor, we ran after the waiters to take our order, then the dishes were not served at the same time. The increasingly loud music prevented any discussion.

This place was recommended to us and inspired us.
Unfortunately, the fisherman's plate consisted of 3 tasteless fish purees and just one fish. As for the catch of the day, the whole fish was tasteless
. As for the welcome, the staff was cold and they seemed more interested in charging than giving us a great experience... completely missed! I do not recommend at all !
