To begin the experience, the waitress tells us when ordering that they have a problem with the TPE and that they only take checks and cash. We came 7 years ago and it was already the case…. We order 2 lobster menus (after making a return trip to the post office machine 200 m from the restaurant). As a starter, flavorless accras arrive on a faded salad. Ugh. Then come the lobsters. Rather hearty and very appetizing dish. But what was our disappointment when we tasted a first piece. The lobsters were perfectly cooked!!! Flesh without any consistency and which gave the impression of being pre-chewed because it was so cooked. Cooking is a difficult art and I can understand that depending on taste we prefer it more or less cooked but this is not a problem of appreciation and I do not understand how we can serve lobsters in this state hoping let the customer say nothing! We immediately informed the waitresses who seemed rather annoyed and offered to have more prepared for us. The next batch was nothing like it. The lobsters were good and cooked to perfection with a good sauce. No complaints. So mixed experience.

Excellent moment in the conviviality “feet in the water”

We met the boss during a walk at the tip of the castles, he explained his mother's family cooking to us, very simply, which we appreciated. So on site at the restaurant in Saint-François the welcome was excellent in a family atmosphere, with a sea view, the best. Local cuisine with all the Creole specialties, we really liked the grilled snapper 👍 To recommend !

We got a table at noon even without reservation, although there was a lot going on. Many locals, many tourists, all have received equal attention from the friendly and cheerful staff. Our food - grilled fish - was excellent, with a small appetizer and salad also comparatively cheap. Afterwards there was a delicious rum or coconut liqueur - authentic in a plastic cup at the cash register 😁. Anytime again!

Very disappointed. Bland planter. Disappointing entry. Main course ok nothing more. Although we are at the start of the service, we are offered a choice of desserts and they come back to us to tell us that one of the two ordered (coconut ice cream) is not available. Finally, the man who collected our bill was not the most jovial. (To our great surprise because generally, Guadeloupeans are very friendly and caring people.) On the other hand, regarding the waitresses, no negative comments on this subject. A restaurant worthy of a canteen 👍 We had heard good things about it, so we decided to go there. A big regret!!!!!! My wife called to reserve a table for two and was told that they did not take reservations and had to arrive on time. So we arrived on time, a table of two, far from having our feet in the water, a simple terrace worthy of an apartment, a stifling heat and one on top of the other. So we order two grilled fish with rice. It is specified on the menu that Accras and raw vegetables are served before each dish. As for the accras it's just a simple donut dough served with a garlic sauce!!!!!!! And for raw vegetables in supermarkets they are better. The fish is coming 🙃 Two overcooked dry snappers, not even a dog sauce with them and the dry rice. Already you have to arrive around 11:15 to hope to have a table on the terrace we are served an aperitif but we do not have the possibility to have an accompaniment with since the accras are included in the menu. The famous crashes... Five small balls of dough fry so we don't recognize the taste, not even vegetables or onion anything. The whole served with a small salad when I say small the term is not exaggerated containing 2 slices of very fine tomatoes and an 8th of eggs. As for bringing us the plate for two I thought it was for one person so ridiculous The lobster Cooking is perfect very good on the other hand we serve you a ball of white rice to share in 2. obliged to ask if possibly there are no red beans or small vegetable like cucumber or carrot or tomato nothing! You should have asked.... Two slices of tomato for fifty customers is a nice saving at the end of the day. In short I do not understand the craze for this restaurant on the Internet only the view is worth the detour all for a price of 55 euros per person. I cannot judge the quality of the meals given that our New Year's Eve reservation was canceled 3 hours before by telephone for no good reason. We remained without a restaurant that day because of incompetent and bad faith people. Too bad because we were delighted to try this restaurant which, given some reviews, seemed very good to us, but looking in more detail at some of the other reviews, it's just a tourist trap that is being sold off at the tip of the castles...

We went there because it was well rated on Google and in our guide. We don't really understand these opinions. The starter was not fresh (but offered...) and the main course was not plentiful. The desserts (flambéed banana and pineapple) were bathed in rum and not flambéed... The waitress, when we had just arrived, remained standing in front of our table until we had chosen, it was a bit embarrassing... We don't recommend it, it's a tourist trap.

We had reserved for 10 because we wanted to taste grilled lobsters (to be reserved in advance especially when you are in a group). Very warm welcome with rum (ti-punch or planter) starter with Acras and raw vegetables then magnificent grilled and tasty lobsters accompanied by rice, spicy sauces to add if necessary then dessert of your choice. Very good atmosphere. Quality products, fresh and very well cooked. Please note that when you are a group, even if you have booked, you cannot have lunch on the terrace facing the sea because there is not enough space. But having lunch inside is very good because it is open to the outside.

To flee ! Huge waiting time, we had reserved a table for 1 p.m. and dishes to order. When we got there the dishes we had ordered were no longer available, we found ourselves eating a dish we didn't want. Serve a bottle of rosé (not the same wording on the menu), without glasses because dishes are not done, plates the same.. And don’t forget to bring cash, because credit card doesn’t work

Good welcome But cooking is not up to par Lobster left because it was not good at all, the fish in exchange arrived on the table as soon as ordered, it must have been cooked for hours because it was very dry. We had very good memories of this restaurant but we would not recommend it and we would not return.

Passing through this random restaurant. Really good local dishes! Chicken colombo, chatrou (octopus), pineapple or banana flambé... Additionally, when you choose a dish, the accras are served as an aperitif with a plate of salad. Without forgetting the ty punch or the cocktail. We really appreciated the welcome (the kindness at the meeting. But that's general on the island of Guadeloupe.) The view from the terrace, the kitchen. We actually went there twice to taste other dishes. (For 20 - 30€ per person) We recommend this restaurant without hesitation.

With all the positive comments we say yes why not... So we're not having a bad time, we're not eating bad either, but there's really nothing crazy, honestly, even if it's affordable compared to other restaurants on the street, it's not crazy and you can eat better at the same price elsewhere. So yes there is atmosphere, yes the service is super fast and efficient but hey there you go, not crazy....

Charly and his family welcome us with joy and good humor to eat local dishes very well cooked by the mother of the family. You will find local charm there with a breathtaking view of the sea. Not to be missed in St François, the detour is worth it. Xavier and Myriam meal on 9/12/33
