Waterside birthday celebration

This chic and gastronomic address in Saint-Francois' place-to-be marina was the perfect setting for a birthday dinner. Savoury dips and crackers accompanied our aperitif before the three of us tucked into two starters of a 'flan de poisson' served with a ouassa (local crayfish) bisque and courgette ribbons. While I continued the creole theme with a risotto and fricassee of local octopus and kidney beans topped with a couple of mildly fiery chillies, my companions enjoyed a gin flambeed dish of cassolette of organic chicken and sweetbreads, and a steak tartare served with fresh capers, olives, dried tomatoes, rocket and roasted potatoes. The enviable setting and intriguing menu make for a winning combination. Reservation recommended.

The perfect welcome, the very nice place. The owner listens to her customers, thank you for her advice, a real delight in beautiful dishes that are as beautiful as they are delicious. Very nice little aperitif accompanied by an appetizer 👍

A very nice discovery

Cozy restaurant on the waterfront of the Marina. Beautiful decor, very friendly staff, what can we say about the "Belgian" joviality of Agnès the owner and chef in the kitchen who thanks to her talent and her gastronomic research allows us to discover new flavors. The macerated foie gras accompanied by duck breast and various greens was excellent as were the tender and succulent sweetbreads. Small disappointment with the Charolais tartare which in our humble opinion does not go well with the parmesan which is probably too accustomed to our prepared "American". My husband's Irish coffee was great, as was the small sprout offered by the house, rum and passion fruit, delicious!! We will certainly return to this restaurant which deserves to be known!

Another good surprise at St François

The owner welcomes you and presents her menu with her creations. She specifies that there is no fresh fish. We tried an excellent Thai salad such as sate, a Comté mousse on a very original, perfect egg, very successful). The confit lamb shoulder was melting, the oyster mushroom and porcini mushroom risotto (studded with hazelnuts) with its foie gras escalope was also a faulty sandwich.... An address not to be missed

Simply DIVINE

To say it's good would be an insult. “Divine” is the only word that comes to mind when I think of this restaurant. The veal rices were incredibly tasty. The lasagna was an incredible culinary experience. It's difficult to describe this subtle marriage between legs, artichokes and Parmesan. All presented in a cast iron casserole dish. Be careful though, it’s a generous and rich dish. So for those who love the diet, go your way. With its incredible cuisine, its friendly welcome and its view of the marina, for us it is the best restaurant in Guadeloupe. Prices are consistent on an island where everything has become very expensive. Our only regret is not having managed to return there before our departure.

Great meal offered by our son. Agnès the chef took us on a journey with her world cuisine and introduced our taste buds to new flavors. No false notes during our meal. You can also see all the preparations with the open kitchen. Agnès and her smiling team really deserve their number 1 place in the St François marina

What a wonderful experience!

Sitting down with Agnes and her team for an evening of delicious food and drinks is a pleasure. We even came back again during our holiday because we enjoyed it so much. And we don't do that often, because we usually want to try a different restaurant every time. The food is delicious and tasty. The two “girls” in the kitchen make really beautiful and delicious dishes. And the men in charge are good hosts. You feel welcome and at home! Highly recommended!

Disappointed!

Unlike other reviews, I was disappointed by this establishment! I found the cuisine ordinary, without any particular originality, an undrinkable planter... I would like to point out that the Chef was in the dining room welcoming customers kindly. For my part, nothing extraordinary!

From the welcome to the dessert, everything is perfect! The place is pleasant, well decorated. The menu is attractive, the dishes delicate, the presentation is very careful and inventive. As for the dishes, everything is very good, well balanced. Very balanced and quality wine list. Well done Agnes! We will definitely come back and recommend this restaurant.

The very qualitative comments (and the pretty name of the restaurant 😉!) made me want to discover it, despite a 1-hour journey from the Bas du Fort marina. Indeed, lovely setting, very warm welcome and professional service, without ostentation, with excellent advice from the chef for the choice of dishes. Tasty dishes, perfect cooking, beautiful compositions and perfect plates. Several stays in Guadeloupe and this is my greatest discovery. Your customers' compliments are deserved. Congratulations to your entire team. Don’t change anything… we will come back with great pleasure!

Wonderful place for dinner

Lovely spot for dinner in Saint Francois. The staff were warm and welcoming, and the food was outstanding both in quality and presentation. Really liked the environment looking out onto the marina. Our server was friendly and efficient, and was patient as we tried to order in French. She also spoke English with us. We did have a bit of a mixup with our reservation - our online booking was not in their system despite having an email confirmation for that date and time. They honoured the reservation after reviewing the confirmation email. Several days later, I got a reminder about an upcoming reservation for a different date, even though the date and time I booked had already passed. Might have just been a glitch but perhaps worth confirming your reservation in advance.

We had a delicious meal prepared with care and detail . The service was outstanding, suggesting and commenting. The atmosphere was charming, at marina and moreover the setting, decorations and table arrangements were carefully and tastefully acquired. Félicitations aux Belges.
