Lovely location with views to the sea. Romantic if that's your thing. Welcoming and friendly and efficient staff. We were offered an amuse bouche, which was a good start. The wine list is not great and we ordered a bottle of Macon, which was okay. Would have preferred a nice Chablis or Sancerre. We opted for the menu, which was reasonably priced at 35 euros per person. Starters were okay - we're not into the local cold fish dish, but the fricassee of lobster with pasta was delicious, as were the deserts. All in all I give the experience a 8/10, and will definitely come back here.

This was our first restaurant in Guadeloupe and surely one of our best memories. We booked several days earlier and got a table right next to the sea under lights. We didn t expect such a nice ambiance. The restaurant is lovely decorated and the staff is extremely friendly. We took the menu which was an excellent value for money. Very tasty and local. Drinks were also good. And the final rhum offered to us made us leave the place nicely full and loaded :D
We definitely recommend this place to anyone willing a view experience and good food at decent price. But book in advance to take advantage of the terrace.

Love this restaurant! They were very busy and for some reason our reservation didn't go through, but they still accommodated us. The service was great-very friendly and helpful. We had amazing cocktails and wonderful wine. My lobster roll was cooked to perfection and my husband said the tuna was some of the best he's ever had. Lovely atmosphere too.

The Zagaya is a restaurant in Saint Francois with a stunning view over the sea.
We had Sunday lunch here and the restaurant was very busy, there were a lot of serving staff rushing around but the service was still slow.
My husband chose a fish dish from the menu and was told that the fish was not available and had been substituted for another local fish. I am vegetarian and after the waitress checked with the kitchen was told that the only dish available was noodles and vegetables. My dish was okay, but for the price charged expensive; my husband was very disappointed with his fish dish which he said was dry and tasteless, the portion was also very small, "nouveau cuisine", style. So I ended up giving him some of my vegetable noodles. Interestingly the couple at the next table were in a similar position as he had chosen the same dish as my husband.
My husband chose the Café Gourmand for dessert and I had coffee.
The wine list is comprehensive but pricey.

The evening started very well. The restaurant and its atmosphere was great. The menu delighted us and our waitress took care to take the order for our child before the adults.
Our devices were very beautiful and good. The starters of ouassous and beef were delicious visually and to taste!
But that's where it all goes wrong... The wine was brought to the table without any service or tasting. We had to be served our starters so we could have our main dishes. The children's dish had to be grilled fish and it was a tasteless and dry fried fish accompanied by home fries without taste or texture.
We tried the lamb parmentier which was correct without being as tasty as a plate of lamb can be.
The mahi-mahi tempura was nothing more than a sea bream fried without warning that it was not the advertised fish. However, the dough accompaniment was tasty.
The lobster has 60 euros dog sauce... A lobster that tastes only of salt and whose flesh was far from tender.
The day before, we were at Koté sud 15 minutes from this restaurant of the same owner and we had an incomparable gastronomic experience. We stayed on our hunger and on a disappointment for our to be "good" meals from our holiday.
We assumed a lack of staff and lack of experience as the waiters and waitresses seemed overwhelmed at all times. A simple warning for the mahi-mahi dish. An awareness of the state of the table during the various visits has our table to remove empty glasses and dishes. Doing the table service is not simply doing the transport between the kitchen and the table... For the taste of the dishes, it may be a matter of preference, but we were 5 adults and we all felt that the flavors could easily have been more present as we have been used to since the beginning of our stay in Guadeloupe.

Friendly setting and tempting dishes, it's a shame to leave with a bad impression. The children's menu was not presented to us or described despite the fact that we had two children under 12 at the table and we had asked if it was possible to have simple pasta. They served us pasta with butter even though there was a children's menu for 12 euros. Not correct!

When you are lucky enough to be located at the water's edge, the view is superb. But several drawbacks then dampen the enthusiasm. The ventilation being insufficient, it is very (too) hot. Despite the bartender's explanations (also very friendly), the Maï Taï did not convince me, and what's more it is served without any accompaniment (at 12 Eur anyway). On the main side, the tartare is perfect, but the entrecôte is certainly hearty (too much?) but fatty and not very tasty. The fries are OK, nothing more. The medicine too. The servers (with one exception) are friendly. But, apart from the view, the cuisine of this restaurant is not at the level of the prices charged.

Discovered by chance and we returned there 3 days later out of desire to eat a lobster the second time after having tested lobster tagliattelle (a turie).
A heavenly view of the bay but you must book in advance to benefit from it.
If you pass by there, do not hesitate and ask if the reservation of the table at the bay has not been canceled :) even in the evening because they illuminate the water which gives a transparent vision of this turquoise water .
And if you come for a birthday, you will have a choir of waiters and waitresses. thank you

Casual welcome that ended in late ordering (despite a reminder) and refusal to serve starters due to kitchen closure....
Dish akin to a lobster fried sandwich called Lobster roll for 36€.
Very disappointed.

Very nice setting
Good and beautiful cocktail
Impeccable service
If I really had to make a comment it would be on the side of our dish (fried salad) I would say that the salad is not qualitative for a dish at 34€, a nice sucrine with a homemade dressing would have been better and more aesthetic
But we had a nice time for our wedding anniversary

Nice experience with a view! However, the prices are excessive compared to the cuisine served which remains very simple, just the presentation which is a little elaborate, this should not justify the price. And it's a shame that there is no separate women's/men's bathroom.

Everything was perfect (again). The very friendly welcome of the whole team, the very nice setting, facing the sea.The st-Franciscquaine aperitif board, hearty, to share of course! With the cocktail of the day. The lambricks as a starter... a real success, very original (lambi and brig). As a dish, the Mama, very generous, passes very well (tagliatelle, lobster and cashew nuts) Only flat... I had no room for homemade iced snickers (I had tasted the coconut-lime tiramisu last week and I wanted to taste the snickers... too bad, next time)
Bravo in the kitchen. I highly recommend this restaurant of high quality

Cocktails and top board
Sunday evening, almost nothing on the menu except meat and king mackerel as a replacement. Too bad for a last dinner not to have lobsters and especially not to say it from the start.
The tartare with a knife is tasteless and what can we say about the béarnaise that is anything but homemade.
Cooking of entrecôtes not respected
Finally the desserts, €14 for the chocolate coulant, much too expensive

Magnificent restaurant, very clean place with a very beautiful view. All the food was excellent, the only downside for us was that we were surprised by the service being too fast, we had the impression of being rushed, starting the appetizer, starter, main course about 5 minutes apart between each one 😅
Although this is not a bad thing for those who like a quick dinner!
Otherwise all the rest was A1, very good address for St-Francois☺️!

We had dinner there at 4. We ordered 4 dishes plus a plancha of cold meats and cheese as an aperitif. Result...the ridiculous plancha 2 small pieces of Comté cheese, 2 small pâtés en croute, 4 slices of sausage, 2 slices of chorizo, chiffonade of smoked ham and cheese... "all that" for 28€. The 4 dishes ordered were completely tasteless and tasteless. As for the reception... it's more of an invitation to consumption... in short restaurant to avoid, living on its past reputation. After discussion with friends we learned that the former chef had left the establishment...this perhaps explains it...
