Beautiful place, very friendly waiter but then what a wait! 1h30 to be served! Dishes a little too generous and really very expensive!!! Very disappointed this year, we will not return there again! Too bad...

what a desappointment. Recommended by so many people, we expected an exceptional experience, full of flavors, especially since this table seemed to be deserved because it was very popular. Average reception, very salty addition for a good meal but without being incredible. A main course for two, 1 part of rice, 3 beers, a memory dessert, all for almost 150€, no, that's excessive. the setting is pleasant, but hey, we are not by the sea anyway.

Welcome, service, meals, nothing to say.. Magnificent aperitifs, truly succulent starters and dishes..

Nice place (decoration, dimmed lights..) Hwever, dishes are not more elaborate or refined than any ordinary /average priced Indian restaurant. Way over priced.
Strange fact: Nan bread (overcooked and burnt) is served on its own, before the main food arrives on the table. The same goes for the rice, which was served a few minutes after the dhal. Food drowned in spices... Service could certainly benefit from a little more smiles and friendliness.
As locals, I doubt we would come back.

We regularly eat Indian out or prepare it ourselves. And we’ve been to India for a month twice. This was one of the most disappointing Indian dinners we’ve ever had. The paneer in the palak paneer seemed to have disappeared, the garlic naan partly burnt, and the aubergine main dish very salty. And while some of the staff was very friendly, our waiter appeared to be in a bad mood. You’d expect more for this prize.

Absolutely heavenly and unforgettable! The food was so delicious and full of depth. The presentation was beautiful, the location is stunning and well curated inside and outside. The people were super nice! It really should be ranked #1 in St François. My guess is that tourists just don’t drive out and all flock to the pretty boring Marine Area. I loved every single bite! Highly recommend’

Not cheap (160€ for 4) but possibly the best vegetarian curry I have ever eaten. Delicious food, and beautiful interior decoration make this a very special place.

Good service and lovely decoration in this restaurant its my best Indian restaurant in France what I was searching since last 5years,thank you so much for very yummmy food.i live in Paris but next time when I will come to Guadeloupe then I will eat again in this restaurant.

nice indian restaurant, nice ambiance but impersonal service.
food was good. my partner had the lamb curry and i had the vegetarian curry. both were good. pricey by Canadian standards for Indian food.

Couple things to know about me: 1) I eat at Indian restaurants around the world. 2) I’m vegetarian and like spicy food), my husband is French (so, not vegetarian, doesn’t like spicy food). 3) I have no time for artificial anything in my food. I have a low threshold for crap.
So, Les Port Des Indian was an excellent surprise in Guadeloupe. The food was high quality and diverse options, they could cater to my husband’s mild preferences and my spicy/vegetarian preferences (I suggest asking for your dish to be spicier than French people eat, in order to come out perfect). The papadums were particularly good for a basic Indian item. My Chana masala was tasty and filling and their complimentary chutney mix was a delight.
While in an unexpected location, the ambiance is romantic and charming, the service quite good, and the prices reasonable for the service and food quality (remember, they’ve got to import a ton of the food). Competitor prices to good Indian food in a major American city.
Oh, and they do to go boxes, too!

I dined here with my husband, and the food is delicious and fresh!! Be prepared to live full! A free appetizer is given so I think it's best to not order one. I had the mixed main dish with rice and I also had another appetizer of fish and garlic bread DELICIOUS!!! The prices are a bit expensive but the ambiance and food is worth it. The restaurant is filled with Indian decorations, and with the soft Indian music it gives the perfect ambience for a romantic diner. Will definitely return here

Frankly the food served does NOT in any way or form justify the completely ridiculous prices. As for the very lengthy wait for the food to appear, well what can I say? Luckily for us, we were not paying, but frankly these prices are a complete rip-off. You'd need to be pretty stupid to go there often. We go to Indian/Pakistani restaurants all the time in Indian, and none of them have food as EXPENSIVE as this restaurant. Better off going to little Caribbean restaurants...!!

Five of us ate dinner here last night. We all loved everything. They had a child option for my 8 year old which was nice. We split samosas and garlic naan for starters. Then we shared chicken korma, chicken vindaloo, shrimp curry and tandoori chicken. We loved everything. The korma may have been our favorite. The service was good. They have good cocktails and wine list.the setting is really magical. This is the best Indian food I have had since my two trips to India. Subtle, beautiful flavors. Highly recommend.

This restaurant was in a beautiful upscale setting and the meal was delicious. Ask if there are any off-the-menu naan options, so yummy! Highly recommend.
