We arrived that the Maison du Chocolat hungry, and the only thing to eat there was chocolate. They recommended Le Reflet, which is a short drive north on N2, turning into the parking area for Plage Caraibe. There's plenty of easy parking for the beach,...and there are several restaurants lined up, each with outdoor dining areas. Le Reflet was clearly the busiest, and it's easy to see why. We had a party of 7, so we were able to move two tables together and relax with local beers and Ti Punch before ordering lunch. The lunch item specialties are shrimp and fish, and both were really good. The lunches come with ice cream for dessert, which was a great surprise. This place is really low key, with a few chickens strolling through, and an easy beach vibe. Server was professional - though if you are in a hurry, you would want to let her know. It's pretty relaxed there (for Americans like us, we have to adjust to a longer lunch). We ordered in French, but threw a little Anglais in as well, and there was not an issue. So if you don't speak much French, there are pictures of the major dishes, so you can work it out. If I am heading south from Pointe Noire again. I would definitely return to Le Reflet. And maybe spend some time at the beach as well. Also - we didn't have any children with us, but it would be fine place for young kids.More
