Though specialising in Middle Eastern cuisine, Yolanda and Juan's menu have a range of local (Dominican) dishes. Their hospitality is excellent. Prices are reasonable. Seating is available indoors with air-con, and also a renovated outside terrace to watch the world go by. The recipes have been passed from generations and the restaurant continues to develop its menu. Do not forget to try the dishes for which they are most known for, the Kipe and Catibias. The Kipe is a traditional arabic dish made out of bulgur wheat filled with meat and fried to perfection and the Catibia is their version of an empanada made out of yuca instead of flour and filled with a variety of options They are amazing! Shish Kabab has now opened their second location on the Autopista del Coral, it's the highway that connects to the east coast of the island. The new location offers the same menu and has created a cozy, elegant and tropical ambiance that is perfect for a road trip stop for food and refreshments.

On the way... air-conditioned Arabic homemade food mixes with DR.
In babaganoush deli, Cativia's patties of cheese, chicken and meat very rich. 100 more taxes, the Caesar salad not very rich but the chicken of this one is.
The kibes very good and the pork crackle very crisp.
The burger is not special, but the mofongo is.

This place has amazing food. Everything we ate was delicious. We were pleasantly surprised to see they had some local fare too. It’s a very clean, well decorated restaurant with very kind staff. They had a vegetable soup (sopa de vegetales) when we went, and it was delicious. Try a Kipe…. they are amazing and really big. We were close to going a second time but ran out of time.

All of the restaurants were either overpriced or completely sold out for New Year’s Eve and we called this amazing minute training restaurant and asked for them to prepare enough food for 15 people which they did on just a few hours notice and with absolute joy and deliciousness. The appetizers consisted of hummus and planting chips and the most delicious cheese empanadas I’ve ever had and the dinner consisted of shish kebabs made from lamb and chicken and beef and vegetables and shrimp along with white rice and some wonderful side dishes. Thank you thank you thank you! We had The most wonderful dinner at a fraction of what this would’ve cost elsewhere.

It is well located in the Waze , they have plenty of parking space, totally free. The service when you consume in the place, lacks improvement .
And as for the falafel 🥙 I didn’t like it, the bread was not fresh and the falafel balls were tasteless and the texture was not crunchy.
The patties as always excellent. But that's how the other dishes should be. I hope my review is for them to improve in these aspects

Nice quite large place in the middle of the town. This place presents Middle East food. Everything test good specially the appetizers except the lamb Kabab where he serve strange flat rapped piece of meat with strong spices, otherwise the service and everything else was good

Definitely strong on Middle Eastern cuisine however the menu is very comprehensive. The Cesar Salad was just perfect. Lamb Kebab truly historic. Expresso excellent. Overall one of the best meals in a five week trip and not expensive for the very high quality

I'm slightly biased to this place because I have people on the ground in D.R.
I get a different experience than most, but this a nice place to go before having a night out on the town. I'd have small plates if I were you.
Be cautious during peak tourist season and research the events going on as, prices will hike. Either way, this is a great way to truly experience D.R.
Places like Punta Cana etc. are flooded with International junk.

It is definitely a five star review. The restaurant atmosphere was calm and classy. Jeremy, our server, was very attentive and professional. The food was tasty and true to the Lebanese cuisine. We really had a good time.

In La Romana, this restaurant is the best food in town. When in Casa de Campo we always visit either lunch or dinner. Sensibly priced, good service, within easy reach from Casa de Campo. The whole family has enjoyed it for years. The food is very good, don't miss the Shawarma or the Fatoush salad!!

I asked the manager what was the secret of the best Kibeh that I have ever tasted, her answer was LOVE and Consistency since 1967! Highly recommended and a must visit on your way to Casa de Campo and Punta Cana.

The service is slow the food is just okay. The disturbing part is how they include a 10% tip on the bill and call it a tax instead of a tip. Then there is an additional line called the propina which is the tip. It's just a deliberate tactic to deceive you into leaving 2 tips and the owner steals it and DOES NOT give a peso to the waiters. It's a disgrace. Calling a tip a tax is just pure deceit.

Located in the "business district" of La Romana, once inside you are completely removed from hustle and bustle of the street. As a tourist with a rental car I was happy for the dedicated gated parking meaning I didn't have to worry about car parked curb-side. With the name of Shish Kabab I expected more variety in Lebanese or middle eastern dishes. So I was a bit disappointed with the menu. But overall I was happy and went there a couple of times. You can sit in or carry out.
